Seems like Lisa is channelling "That Guy" right there... bad attitude from her if you ask me.

I disagree, Ian. It seems a bit odd to expect to be treated well when you don't stop for a minute to try to restart vent. Note that it is not mentioned that he attempted to fix vent. Folks could tell he was having issues, a simple "one sec while I try to fix vent" at the start of the problem would have probably been all that was needed. Clearly there was a failure on both sides here. Main Tank getting fed up, OP neglecting to try the obvious from the start. Lisa is simply saying that while both had some issues, this was really a no-brainer.

Totally Disagree with Lisa.I DO think there was some arrogance going on with Vent troubles, but I also TOTALLY think that this sounds like a PuG that Vent troubles helped form AT ALL, right off the cuff. They Key is Right off the Cuff.My wife has this ability- to be able to say, "We have seven guildies who would like to raid, we need 2 tanks and a healer and we could do it," and people consistently use that- sometimes even take advantage of it. When you form a PuG raid off the cuff, and you have someone coming who JUST started raiding and hasn't seen the bosses before, and you are the raid leader- well, by gum, you need to either take some responsibility for the people who helped you even HAVE the people to raid that night, or you don't take them and you figure YOUR OWN crap out to make that raid happen. This raid leader took the person who, I understand, recruited the PuGs to the raid that made it happen and reamed him/her over for frequently stated lack of experience. Raid leader did not listen or pay attention, despite being virtually spoon fed with the extra work required to make this particular raid happen.I also think that Lisa is totally taking a certain guild culture absolutely for granted- one where you say what's up and take care of it. I've seen and been in guilds where saying, "My vent isn't working, restarting to try and fix it" and then doing it without asking if you can stop things rolling for a moment would result in as significant and dressing down as Vent Troubles got, if not an outright raid kick, with a gkick close on its heels. I'm serious and I'm not exaggerating. Some guilds are different than you experience, Lisa, and honestly, you DO seem to be channeling 'that guy' a little tonight.
