I'm SOOO happy.
Lisa stating the OBVIOUS.
No one wants to hold your hands if you couldn't take some time to watch some vids and read some strats.
He over reacted and failed to fix your vent problems... but YOU failed to be prepared

Yeah! How dare you not be prepared for an impromptu, unscheduled raid! You are obviously a terrible, horrible person totally undeserving of understanding or sympathy!
And also, sarcasm is fun.

So...'spur of the moment' and 'my first Halfus kill' mean nothing to you?

Carrying people into their first time they hit a boss IS fun. It's cool to see/hear their reaction to a new fight and to see them get better. They may buttpull or stand in the fire their first time, but they'll learn. You laugh it off.
Sure it may suck with a random PUGable because nobody talks, but in a guild run I think it's pretty awesome to introduce someone to the content and open up that gateway for them.

@ Tom
He was planning on raid leading and organizing these runs. You can't do that without some cursory knowledge of the fights and what it entails if nothing else but to figure out the ideal raid comp. Even if he wasn't, by wipe 3 you should either know what your doing, or know you need to stop and read the strats. He never said 'Ok, since you guys wont tell me I'm going to read up.' He sat there and decided that 'if they don't tell me what to do then its all their fault.' It would have taken all of 5 minutes and if they weren't giving him a chance he could have stood just outside the door or not rezzed till he was ready. The Raid Leader may not have handled the problem in the best way, but it was ultimately VT's problem.
@sporkwind
I completely agree with you. Showing someone the fight for the 1st time is an awesome thing when it goes well and they get what they need to do (even if it takes a few tries). What is not fun, is trying to do a fight that you KNOW your group is capable of but instead you're wiping 6 or 7 times because of one person who doesn't know the fight, is slow to learn and isn't even on vent. Even that 1st wipe, if he was standing right at the tail when Valiona breathed fire on him it would have been a simple matter of running a few steps forward and he would have survived. If he is the hardcore harder he claimed to be in his last paragraph, watching someone die to that would make him angry too.
I can understand if he killed someone by dispelling black out too early, or getting seperated from the group in p2 and taking a meteor to the face, because those sort of things arn't obviouse and might need to be explained. However, if the other wipes were caused by similer mistakes to the 1st (like not running out of the purple circles whilst DBM screams 'Dazzling destruction!') then I think even the most forgiving of raiders would start to get annoyed.
