One can argue about how much culpability VT has, but there is no doubt the RL is incompetent. Regardless of whether the problem on VT's end was vent or lag/latency or being drunk or spouse agro, repeatedly wiping the same way without correcting something is dumb.

I.e., no matter how the elitists think the onus lies on VT, the RL and all the others who read the seven messages had a choice: do something to fix the situation or cop an attitude and do nothing. I.e., they did not care enough about the raid success to do something to improve it.

If someone shows up without knowing the strat or being flasked or having the recent lag issues, then booting them from the raid is reasonable. Working with their issues is reasonable. Proceeding along as if reality was different than it is and then QQ about it afterwards is very incompetent and shows a lack of commitment to the group and success.

I am not saying I am sure VT was correct but I know RL was not.

I would probably have helpfully inserted "Ah, I guess this is another reason the good guilds use mumble instead of vent." into the conversation.
