I'm sorry, but I place the blame squarely on Vent Troubles. If you take the story as-is, sure, it's the leader's fault, but If you read in between the lines a little bit, you that Vent is actually "That Guy".
First off, we can read a little bit into Vent's actions on the boss. You wiped the raid 7 times. And from what I read, the same way each time. I'm not saying Valiona is easy, it's a pretty difficult boss, but even if noone did give you a strat, your guildies gave you exactly what you need to succeed. All you had to do was stand on the tail. Valiona doesn't suddenly turn around and kill someone- there's like a 3 second cast timer where you can SEE her breathe fire on half the room. After the second time, Vent should have realized "Maybe I shouldn't stand on the fire, and follow the tail when she turns" Because noone would hold your hand with a strat though, and you were too lazy to take 1 minute to alt-tab and at least look up the boss's abilities, I feel like Vent just said "Screw it" and stopped trying.
And Vent has all the signs of being "That Guy" in guild too. Pre-existing troubles with the main tank (that he implies everyone else seems to like)? Check. Arrogantly assuming he's the reason the guild downed a whole bunch of bosses? Check. "LOL guys wiping over and over again because I don't know the strat is fine, we aren't Paragon" statement. Check. Telling the current raid leader he isn't doing things right instead of accepting that he screwed up? Check.
I'm also calling Shenanigans on Vent asking for help each time. There's no way he wrote that nicely worded help please 7 times and everyone ignored him. Unless everyone in that group hates him. Which, judging by his attitude, is likely.
So, while Vent tries to make himself sound like the victim, reading into the situation and how and why a guild would react the way they did tells a different story. Sounds like Vent is 100% "the load" in this group, and it wasn't only that night. He sounds like he proclaims himself to be an amazing player, but is actually that guy the guild can't stand because he's a narcissistic trouble-maker who picks fights with guildies and can't be bothered to learn fights.
