Well one way to counter that is for Blizz to give Druids their de-root'ing/shape shifting mechanics back. I never understood why they took that away from them. Me suspects one too many martinees given out at Dev board meetings. :(

Hmmm...I thought that was my dirty little secret as how I as a Fire Mage manage to rack up so many Hunter kills by simply running/Blinking towards them when they where on to me. (I had players laughing at my face disbelieving I did that...so I kept quiet about it till now). I would Frost Nova their pet between me and the Hunter, I went to town on them in thier "dead zone." Though the better Hunters had their traps ready and one of their snare shots keep a good distance between me and them.
That being said, I wonder if Blizz could redesign their Disengage mechanic to break root's and snares (if they haven't already). That would give them an extra emergency "get out of jail for free" card to keep the Mages from wondering into that dead zone. That's just a thought.
I do know that sniping a Mage target is effective if you catch them by surprise. I had that done to me one to many times as I also dished that out as many times. But that's a lot easier to do in a BG than an Arena, since the latter are more fully aware who each others opponents are and less sneaky spots to hide behind.
Anyways way, thanks for sharing that you two. :)
