Extra info on some reputations:
Some normal dungeons offer reputation, but only upto 5999/6000 Friendly, so if you are aiming at starting from 0 reputation, consider grinding those normals before questing. This will cut down on the number of harder/heroid instances to run.
Those normals are:
Thrallmar: Hellfire Ramparts & Blood Furnace
Cenarion Expedition: Slave Pens & Underbog
Lower City: Auchenei Crypts.
Consortium: Mana-Tombs.
Other normals (Seth Halls, Durnholde, etc) offer Rep all the way upto Exalted. Note, Cenarion Expedition also has a repeatable quest for Unidentified Plant Parts (zone-wide drop in Zangarmarsh) which also grants rep upto Honoured.
Secondly:
If you are a character which can solo level 70 instances easily, then consider picking up the Daily Normal/Heroic quests from Shattrath - two Ethereals offer them from near the bank.
Completing the Daily Normal will reward 250 Consortium Rep, 250 of the relevent faction Rep, and a single Etherium Key (which has variable uses, but generally worth ~250 rep for Consortium). Note, the key is tradable, so if you have a selection of level 80 characters, doing that daily frequently is a good method of stocking up on Keys - you'll need a fair number of keys (minimum 6) to get through the Consortium chain that leads to unlocking Yor in Mana-Tombs heroic.
Completing the Daily Heroic rewards 350 Consortium Rep, 350 relevent Rep, and 10 Justice Points. So generally only worth it if it's a dungeon you are wanting to run anyway.

Oh, the Consortium grind....so many keys and insignia passes through my hands. Actually, I am pretty sure my Druid still has a couple of prison keys on his keychain.
But the Consortium grind has the best reward of all of them...the monthly bag o' gems! Remember heading to Nagrand at the top of every month to get your free Gems? In fact, WoWInsider used to post a reminder for us.
