The Daily Quest: Keeping track of things

WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.
We don't all have a Wildhammer Fact Checker in our pockets willing to correct any minor little errors that happen to be thrown our way. These days in WoW, between different specs, gems, enchants, and the new reforging, keeping track of everything your character has to have in order to be competitive can be a little tricky. Today we've got a few posts from around the blogosphere that offer a helping hand when it comes to keeping track.
Is there a story out there we ought to link or a blog we should be following? Just leave us a comment, and you may see it here tomorrow! Be sure to check out our WoW Resources Guide for more WoW-related sites.
- Disciplinary Action has put together a short and complete manual for healing as a discipline priest.
- RestoDruid.info also has a cheat sheet -- this one for restoration druids.
- Adrenaline Rushing offers a handy rogue guide to creating conditional macros.
- Life in Group 5 covers best-in-slot resto shaman items for both normal and hard-mode raiding.

Disc guide recommends Glyph of Smite (Smite hits for 20% more if Holy Fire DoT is on the target), but does not recommend using Holy Fire in the Atonement rotation section. Until the Glyph of Divine Accuracy supports Holy Fire as well, you're better off not casting it (since you will have almost 0 hit rating).
Reforging section recommends removing Parry, Dodge and Expertise from gear. I mean, really? This guide was posted WAY before April 1st, so I know it's not a joke post.
Also: Haste greater than Crit AND Mastery for Disc?!

Yeah, I came here just to say "please disc priests don't follow this guide". It was rather shit.

Stack Shields just posted an oath every tank should take: http://stackshields.wordpress.com/2011/04/01/the-tanks-oath/

Many thanks for the DA shout-out, Anne! Keeva did it first (and, as ever, far better), but it was so wonderful to have the resource for my baby druid that it made me wish every class had something similar. Great and useful posts all around!

I really appreciate the effort, but please do not recommend haste to a fresh 85 disc priest. Haste is good when your mana is infinite. As long as you still go oom in heroics, crit or mastery are far more useful and help to save mana.
Also, Evangelism stacks up to five times, using Archangel with three stacks is not efficient. And your Smite spec is missing Train of Thought, a very very useful talent for Smite healing.
Again, posting such a cheat sheet is a good thing, but it's dangerous to present things like your stat priority as established fact, when there are other opinions out there.

Thanks for the heads-up on the three stacks instead of five of Smite; it was a typo on my part. I'm sticking to my guns on the rest, but luckily, there are many wonderful resources out there for a disc priest (an excellent pair of which are linked at the bottom of the post) for those wanting to get into more detail.

Appreciate the link!

I adore the info on restodruid.info, but - does it *have* to be presented dark grey on black? It may look stylish, but also makes the text rather annoyingly hard to read.
