I feel bad for whoever it was that traded in their pristine copy of Eternal Darkness, complete with manual and original box, at the local GameStop. Enjoy your 3DS or whatever, dude. I'll give this game a good home.
AltMaster asked:
Mining, Herbing, and arcaeology now give you XP. This is a good incentive to gather as you level (in addition to the gold you make). Has there been any news or rumors about getting XP from fishing? As it is now, I never level fishing because there's no point in it as I already have a lvl 525 fishing toon. Why would I level it on all my characters? But if it earned XP....that would be a great incentive to keep fishing leveled throughout the 1-85 process.
There's been no indication from Blizzard that fishing will award experience at any point in the future, but it also didn't say right out that we'd be getting it from mining and the other gathering professions until it actually happened, so maybe there's still hope.
Evemartyn asked:
It seems after reading the PTR patch notes that Cata dungeons are once again getting a nerf. The last nerf seemed (to me at least) to make the dungeons much more manageable, is this in response to player complaints or on some kind of schedule for gradually nerfing content over time for casual gamers?
I think the reasoning is a little less "better nerf these dungeons so those casuals stop whining!" and more "now that these dungeons have been out for a while, it's easier to see which dungeons and encounters are giving people more trouble than they ought to."
Umbrascia asked:
If I remove someone from my Real ID list, what do they see? Say they're online when I remove them- does it send a message that we are no longer Real ID friends? Does it show that I went offline? Do I still show up on their list? Or do I just fade away into the night?
If they're online when you remove them from your friends list, then the game simply shows you as logged off. No fuss, no muss.
Klausse asked:
Question: I know Blizzard has said that when a new tier of gear is released, any accrued valor points become justice points. Does this mean that Tier 11 gear can then be bought with justice points? Also, would this apply to the Tier 11 helm and shoulder pieces, or will we still have to defeat Cho'gall and Nefarian to get the tokens for those pieces?
We don't know for sure, but it's reasonable to assume that you'll still need the respective tokens for the helm and shoulders.
Darasen asked:
Is Affliction a viable spec for Heroic dungeons or is it primarily best for leveling and PvP?
Affliction is perfectly viable for endgame content.

Does the World of Warcraft observe daylight savings time? I ask because I've noticed that the daily reset is happening an hour later since the time change. Instead of getting my dailies at midnight local time, I'm having to wait unti 1 a.m. Will this be updated/changed in the next patch?

You people are evil. You know how evil you are? I discovered while browsing the regular Blizzard page, and went to read the expanded lore, Crabby pops up. Which isn't bad, at first.
But then Crabby went 'I woke up this morning and had this song stuck in my head!' And you have the option to go 'Oh Crabby No'.
Which only gives you a bubble that says 'Oh Crabby Yes'.
IT LINKED TO REBECCA BLACK.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
-IT LINKED TO FRIDAY-, and I blame it all ON YOU PEOPLE.
(though I admit I loled.)

Some of the April Fool's jokes by blizzard sound really awesome like the Duskwood dungeon. Will blizzard ever make these things reality? Or have they already made the real in the past?

I was wondering if the fishing miss rate scales? If I fish in Uldum starting at fishing lvl 1, would I have a lower miss rate if I apply a lure? Or is it more of a threshold of once I get to the right lvl I no longer miss?

Each zone has a "no junk" skill. Once you reach this skill, you very, very rarely ever have junk (I say rarely, because I have seen junk pulled up even after reaching the "no junk" skill.)
Even at level 1, you have a chance to pull up non-junk, but it's like a 99% chance you won't. The higher you go, the greater this chance, but until you get at least half of the no-junk skill, the increases will be like 0.00001 percent.
Dalaran, for example, has a no-junk skill of 525. Once you hit about 425, you start getting normal catches about every other cast or so.
Your best bet is to find a quest place to fish, and skillup. You can skillup in Uldum, but if you are on a PVP server, you might find this hard. Just park yourself next to the Fishing trainer in SW or Orgrimmar, and start leveling. It will take awhile, and the amount of casts needed to skillup are set (as you get towards 450 it takes 19 casts per point) but it's better to get some skill there, than try to catch anything even with a lure in Uldum. Once you get high enuf, you can try a lure, and Uldum.
HOWEVER, there is one exception to this. Pools can be fished at any level, reguardless of skill. So if you are only interested in specific fish, go for it. As long as your lure lands in the pool, you can fish them up. But don't expect to use this to skillup fast. It will take you forever doing this, fishing only from pools.

So when valor points are turned into justice points at 4.1 will they be changed 1:1 or will the VP be worth 2 or 3 JP?
MattKrotzer Apr 1st 2011 10:49PM
Probably 1:1. Honestly, how easy does one need to make it to get Justice Points? I expect a large portion of the playerbase to be over JP cap when the switch happens. Any more than a 1:1 ratio, and they might as well just mail out Tier pieces instead.

Not really game-related, but since we have Lawbringer today, I was just wondering: What is Mat McCurley's legal background?

So, it was a lot of fun pretending that someday there would be a creepy, sinister, haunted dungeon in Duskwood. That was one of my favorite zones of all time. Question for the queue: what zone do you wish would receive a dungeon, and what would it be like?
Personally, I'm thinking Bloodmyst Isle should have a Zul-Farrak style "outdoor dungeon". There are plenty of options ~ Amberweb Pass, Wyrmscar Island, and Bloodcurse Island all have great potential. I can see warp-mutated spiders, deranged draenei survivors, and crazed furbolgs in Amberweb Pass; ghost pirates and undead dragons on Wyrmscar Island (what else?); or an invasion of deep murlocs and faceless ones against the naga of Bloodcurse Island.

Hey,
finaly, now I got to doing achievs inc. reputation and rares.
My question is: Is there any item, that can port you to Shattrath? Like loops of Kirin Tor to Dala and Shrouds of anything with ports to SW.
.. and how to obtain it?
jesskid21 Apr 2nd 2011 9:47AM
Hey, I have a question. How much guild experience does each daily quest give? I know you get told how much guild rep you reicieve, but I can't find how much experience you get.
Thanks
