But this year just took the cake. I can't tell you how proud I am of the entire team for working so hard to pull it off. From our columnists to our editors, we all worked so incredibly hard, and I'm sure if you were watching the site yesterday, you have to agree: It paid off. This was most definitely our best April Fools' Day joke of all time.
So here's my question: What did you think of our joke this year? What was your favorite moment? I'd share mine, but it was all so amazing, that picking just one thing would be a total Sophie's Choice.

Burying others for expressing the lameness of intellectually dishonest political attacks: Double lame. (I'll excuse you if you buried solely because the "X Y is X" meme is, itself, lame, but given my experience here, I doubt that's the motivation.)

I gotta agree with Eros...not doing an April's Fool's Joke and then proclaiming that to be your April Fools is...well, dumb. Not really clever, not really funny. Sorry, sad thing is you're right. Your previous efforts WERE pretty funny.

Could be they just didn't do anything for April Fool's and are poking fun at themselves because of it, rather than trying to be hip and meta about it.

Well, we had a winter storm and had widespread power outages throughout the state due to heavy sticky wet snow and high winds. I didn't notice any April Fool's Day jokes on this site, or the lack thereof because mother nature had her own jokes to play.
