The Queue: Lazy Sunday

Today is a lazy Sunday; so lazy, in fact, that I'm just gonna use this Winged Guardian picture for the Queue header instead of finding something topical or goofy. Don't worry; I'm sure Adam will have some terrible meme video for you tomorrow.
Gozzix Goldgear asked:
Who makes the posts on the WoW Insider facebook page?
The editorial staff has access to the WoW Insider Facebook page, so depending on the time of day it'll be either Adam, me, Dan, or Alex. If the post is esoteric babble, it's probably Adam. If it has a dig at Adam in it, it's probably me. If it's very excited, it's probably Dan. Alex defines "nondescript," so his posts don't have any identifying features besides not having any identifying features.
Thedoctor2031 asked:
Why did blizzard switch from 8 piece tier to 5 piece tier?
I got to ask Jeff Kaplan, aka Tigole, this question when he popped over to the Support building at BC launch. It was to make it so players had more freedom and flexibility in gearing; an 8-piece bonus essentially guaranteed that you had no wiggle room. Four pieces makes it so you have goals but can work around various underperforming pieces.
Tim asked:
I know I've read somewhere about the landscape of Hyjal is "changing" or being updated to show changes again with 4.1 or something. Is there any truth to this? If so, I need to get my lvl 80 warrior who's been sitting there for months through the content before the change. Thanks.
This was originally slated for patch 4.1, to go along with the Firelands raid, but since Firelands is now coming in 4.2, so too are the new Hyjal quests and phasing. Don't worry, though -- if you haven't completed Hyjal, it's very unlikely that you'll be able to access the new quest hubs just yet anyway.
Travy asked:
Is there any truth to the removal of raid achievement drakes come next patch?
Blizzard hasn't said anything about it, and it also hasn't removed any raid achievement mounts since the original Naxxramas protodrakes. I wouldn't fret about it unless Blizzard brings it up.
Msterblaster asked:
I just bought a new machine and want to transfer my game files from my laptop to my new computer. The laptop runs windows 7 32bit and my new computer runs the 64 bit. I guess my question is will this cause a problem with the computer recognizing the files?
Nope. The WoW client files are easily copied from one PC to another with few to no issues, no matter the number of bits. Just don't try to copy it to an Apple IIe.

It was such a lazy Sunday that Sacco didn't even link to a video of Lazy Sunday.
It's the Chronic-what-cles of Narnia!

IIRC, they did say they regretted removing those protodrakes. No cite for that though.

It's not hard to see why in retrospect.
If you remove the raid mounts after a certain amount of time for every tier, you'll ultimately wind up giving them almost exclusively to the top 5% (or whatever) of raiders over and over, with very little variation each tier.
The current model works much better. Where the top 5% are sporting the newest and hottest drakes, and the next 20% or so can be sporting the almost newest drakes, and the rest of the playerbase can be riding around on their Ironbound Proto Drake that they only got this February, but are still very happy and excited about anyway.

If a post has no identifiable features, doesn't that make it an identifiable feature and therefore negate the fact that there are no identifiable features. Then does the post actually exist?
MusedMoose Apr 3rd 2011 2:20PM
Depends. Is the cat alive or dead?
Nivella Apr 3rd 2011 3:04PM
The cat could also be very angry.

Q for the Q:
Just HOW do you guys resist Fox Van Allen's devilish charms?
Andrew Apr 3rd 2011 5:54PM
A: I don't.
razion Apr 3rd 2011 2:44PM
They're obviously wearing their special Fox Van Allen Resistance sets at all times, otherwise they would have surely fallen prey to his special "Fox Mind Blast" maneuver. You can never be too careful. Remember kids, always wear your Resistance gear--it will help protect you from his devilish charms. So now you know. And knowing is half the battle. *G.I Jooooooe*
Fox Van Allen Apr 3rd 2011 2:58PM
If you're Tyler Caraway, you don't. You surrender to Fox's charm and make a 15-hour drive to Boston.
Literaltruth Apr 3rd 2011 2:56PM
How do you know they *have* resisted?
razion Apr 3rd 2011 3:06PM
Combat log.
GuyverIV Apr 3rd 2011 3:13PM
It's a fair point of concern. However, I have heard, from a very reliable source, that when weighing the risks and benefits of bringing such a irresistible person on board, the Wow Insider staff was approached by an independent businessman, who specializes in such issues. In addition to Shoe-laces of Van Allen Immunity, they were able to stock up on highly reliable devices, indeed you could call them Infallible, for repelling Tikbalangs.
Those folks are quite lucky the "G-man" was around to offer his wares. Otherwise... well, who knows? I know *I* don't wanna deal with either rogue tikbalangs OR the unfiltered charms of a certain editor.
razion Apr 3rd 2011 3:13PM
Alternative answer: As we all know that Fox gems godly amounts of Spell Penetration, it is actually impossible to resist it. People like to pretend, though. And pretend they do...
