Considering Affliction still relies on SB spam (DL filler is too latency intolerant at the moment) that's another reason for the Succy in raiding for Affliction in 4.0.6... Are you sure you have played Affliction, Tyler?

yes, but rarely do you have time to take advantage of 10 seconds of uninterupted nuking without a dot falling off. also the felhunter demon soul is much better,

The benefit of Demon Soul for the Succubus -works- for affliction, but even now it is technically higher DPS to use two Soulburn's during the last burn once you hit Drain Soul exclusively for the ability to switch to the Felhunter, use Demon Soul, and then go back to the Succubus.

Shadow Bolt is a significant portion of affliction's damage, but it just isn't enough, and the Felhunter's bonus is just far and away better.
