Another thing ruined by PvP, warlock pet edition: Using the felpuppy for interrupts means that in the wrong 5 man with the wrong group, the desto lock has to use an inferior pet for the interrupt. Moving the interrupt from the pet to the lock would be a help for 5 mans.
I miss the good old days of Hyjal and being able to sacrifice the pet. The pet is a lot of extra work in an instance over what an arcane/fire m*ge has to do; once you quit leveling, the downside of a pet sure outweighs the benefits.
One method is to keep the glyphs & talents that essentially lock a tree into a pet. In that case the "flavor" capabilities of the pets need to be the same. Or normalize the damage and let the lock choose based upon "flavor."
