The Classifieds: New lyrics to I Play W.O.W.
As part of the season finale to The Jace Hall Show, new lyrics have been added to the gamer anthem I Play W.O.W. Not only are these lyrics a nice acknowledgment of Cataclysm, but they're equally a homage to the folks who follow Jace's work.
The whole episode is pretty good, but I think the new lyrics really stood out. While I can't imagine they'll recreate the entire video just to feature the new lines, I hope they find a way to string the original song and the new lyrics together. They're a strong addition to I Play W.O.W., and it'd be cool to hear it all on the same MP3.

Moonphase of Darnassus "One night i logged on just to check my auctions, next thing i get an invite from the Guild Master -Moonphase- asking if i wanted to do LK! it was the last week or so before Cata. it was totally unexpected and i was so excited to be in the raid! it was so awesome i cant really describe it! I was able to get my Kingslayer before the world was torn-a-sunder. Moonphase was the one who spread the Uberness around so a shout out to her!" -- HoodsmanLocal Edition: Community News
The Alliance of Guilds on Undermine (US-A) are working together to advance their common good. Over 32 guilds have joined a chat channel, sent guild ambassadors among one another, and made huge strides in working together. The AoG was put together to help compete with a single guild who was nabbing all the realm firsts; it seems like they're making good progress on that goal. If you're a player on Undermine, you should definitely check them out.
Guilds are starting to achieve guild level 25. Congratulations to The Syndicate and Blacklisted on being the first guilds on their respective realms to become level 25. It's obviously been a long, hard road. Ding -- grats!
The GamingZoneForums have decided to do a complete, total fresh start. They joined a new server and a new faction and are building up their guild completely from scratch. If you're looking for a blank slate in WoW, definitely check these guys out.
Huntercuddles was so touched by the helpful crab from April 1 that he put this video together to say Goodbye Crabby! This one's going to stay with us for a while.
An MIT class project is using LUA in WoW as a jumping-off point to learn programming. They've posted their revolutionary curriculum on the web. This is yet another example of how the game is permeating culture and even education!
Employment: Guild recruitment
Looking for more? Send in your guild name, realm, a link to your guild website or armory listing and a sentence or two on your guild's focus (10-man, RP, late-night raiding, whatever) to theclassifieds@wowinsider.com.
Adding another 10-man The Scattered Winds already has one 10-man team, but now they're looking to add another. The Scattered Winds (http://www.oswguild.com) is a level 20 Horde Guild with a current 10 man team raiding 2 nights/week (3/6 3/4 1/2). The guild has existed in WoW since the launch of vanilla and stems from guilds formed in other games. The core tenant of the guild is to play the game and have fun. Many guild members are ready and prepared to assist with questing and running dungeons. We currently have members interested in forming an additional 10 man.
Arts and Education Steelspring Cartel actually has some unique inclinations. Steelspring Cartel is a casual guild that looks for something different from its members. While we find the exact quality to be elusive in name, it seems an inclination toward learning, arts, and witty banter will help you fit in with our circle of guildies. If you have a love of reading, are able to do calculus equations in your head, want to bring more art into World of Warcraft, or have more than once experienced l'esprit de l'escalier, we would like to invite you to join us on US-Wyrmrest Accord for heroics, raiding, and whatever we decide is fun this week. More information can be found at our website, or you can contact any officer in game.
Boomkin needed The guild Hardline is specifically interested in picking up Balance druids. We are currently recruiting a Balance Druid who is experienced with current heroic mode bosses and preferably who has previous experience with progression guilds. They need to know to properly utilize their class, kiting, cc, tranq, etc. We are a 5/13H guild who are working on being a competitive server first, as such we want someone who is determined and committed. We raid Tues/Thurs/Sun from 8pm CST to 12pm CST. To apply or get more information our website is: http://Hardline.guildlaunch.com/. We thank you if you choose to help us find our balance druid.
Choose your destiny Choice is looking for a few good ranged folks. Choice is a semi-hardcore raiding guild on the Skywall server founded two years ago by a group of friends interested in high level content in World of Warcraft. We have a number of players who participate in PvP, and a great collection of "Friends and Family" members who play casually and enjoy the social aspects of life in a guild , but 25-person end-game raiding is our focus. We are casual in terms of the hours we play, but not in how we approach raiding.
We work as a team, and every raider is expected to contribute to the group's success. We strive to keep the atmosphere in our raids professional and focused, yet relaxed. We enjoy some friendly banter between players, but we try to keep it within reason so as to make the most of our time together. Since we don't raid longer, we have to raid smarter. We're currently looking for healers & DPS! Come check us out at www.choiceguild.com.
Established guild This group is looking for ranged DPS and healers for four nights of raiding. The Covenant is a long standing, established guild, that has been raiding 25 man content for 5 years. We are a casual/semi hardcore guild, that likes to have fun while we raid; while at the same time, succeeding in what we do.
We are looking for experienced ranged DPS and healers that can commit their time four nights a week. We raid from 7PM to 10:30PM Central time Sun-Mon-Wed-Thurs.
If this sounds like something you might be interested in, please check out our website thecovguild.dkpsystem.com.
Need some healers Paragon is looking for some DPS and healers for heroic content. Paragon is looking for more exceptional healers and dps to solidify our 25 man progression team. The team was created near the beginning of Cataclysm to tackle end game content - we are currently 2/13H. Raid times are Mon, Tues, Thurs & Sunday, 6-9pm pacific time. We offer a mature, fun environment for raiders who cannot commit to 16+ hours of raiding but still want to see heroic content. Come join us!
Raiders to the courtesy phone Dragons Call are seeking a few friends for raiding. We're a casual guild with a focus on 10-man raiding. Raid attendance plummetted at the end of Wrath and has not yet rebounded, and we're looking for fun, laid-back, mature people to start our march upon Cataclysm raid content. We're currently in need of tanks, ranged DPS, and a non-druid healer, but anyone with an interest in raiding will be welcomed. Raid times are usually Tues/Thursday nights. We'd really love to get back in the swing of raiding!
Video advertisement Velocity thought you should simply see why you'd like to join them. Frankly, their promotional video is just awesome as hell.

I am frankly tired of seeing this video in the suggested links on YouTube for every video about the game. I am also tired of seeing Felicia Day's "Do You Want To Date My Avatar?" on every video.
It's like you can't finish a video without this guy's face looking at you in the suggested videos at the end.

The Wolves of Theramore (US Silver Hand - Alliance) are recruiting ranged, heals and off-tanks for two 10-man raids. We are 8/12 normals and stalled by shake-ups in our rosters. Join us and let's get progression back on track.
We are a level 22 Alliance guild.

Be wary of the guild Choice advertised above. I ran with them for 2 weeks and was so turned off by the overall atmosphere that I quit. I did so politely and without drama, yet the GM felt compelled to harass me verbally in-game and via e-mail for days afterwards (and by harass I do not just mean asking me why.. I mean extremely rude and abusive language), and when I cut her off her husband continued her efforts. In talking with people on Skywall afterwards, I discovered that this group has a terrible reputation on the server with many people also having problems with the GM and others in the guild.
I realize that any individual may have a different experience with any given group, but if you are considering their guild (or frankly, any guild anywhere) it may be a good idea to poke around their server and ask about their reputation before joining. Don't take any one person's opinion, but if negative opinions are widespread, there's probably a good reason for it.

A random act of uberness (at least, I personally think it is, your results may vary).
I queued up for Slave Pens & Underbog to get the assorted quests in there done with. I get Underbog to pop first, and with my wee 64 Worgen Assassination Rogue, got teamed up with two other random DPSers and Rhodarìs & Xenocidê (US-Mannoroth-A), Tank and Heals, respectively. Not even halfway to the first boss, both of the other DPS drop out. We proceed to beat the snot out of Underbog, with only one death. At or near the end, they tell me they regularly just 2-man dungeons (and keep in mind, this is at-level more or less, they were both 65). I tip my Lord Walden' Top Hat to them.

Oops, guess I should've specified who the hell I am in case this actually goes: Alarys (Legion, US-Alexstrasza-A), on my Rogue, Cptnwörgen (same).
