I also have gotten a 4x proc before. It happened one time after months of daily transmuting. I've even transmuted volatile life to air where I've gotten 0 procs even after they changed it to have a chance to proc on each volatile life. That's 15 volatile lifes in a row with no proc. Transmute spec is terrible. There are much more profitable professions out there.
