actualy the affliction tree makes shadowbolt refresh corruption and also ads a stacking debuff to SB, so the affliction tree makes SB work very well for affliction. Also in the affliction tree, there is a tallent to make SB instant on a proc.... THAT'S 3 SHADOW BOLT TALLENTS IN AFFLICTION TREE....

Farther more, having a cast time tallent for SB in the destruction tree makes perfect sense for a pvp affliction spec where u would most defenetly use drain life as a filler and only cast SB when its instant

First, Shadow Bolt was removed from Everlasting Affliction during the Cataclysm Beta. Corruption is reset by Haunt (one of our staples), Drain Soul (our execute), and Drain Life (which we're apparently only supposed to use in an emergency).

Second, Nightfall, the proc that generates an instant Shadow Bolt? It procs off of damage from Corruption and Drain Life. Shadow Bolt is the effect of the proc, not the cause, so it is not a talent that rewards using Shadow Bolt as a filler (quite the opposite, since using Shadow Bolt means you are not using Drain Life, which does cause Nightfall procs)

So, Affliction actually only has 1 Shadow Bolt talent: Shadow Embrace.

By comparison, let's look at Affliction's synergy with Drain Life:
Soul Siphon - makes Drain Life hit harder on targets with multiple dots
Death's Embrace - makes Drain Life hit harder if you are at low health
Nightfall - makes Drain Life proc instant Shadow Bolts
Everlasting Affliction - makes Drain Life refresh Corruption
