I was shafted onto the gm role after about 2 months in the guild. Thefollowing story is what happened. Prepare for what might be a wall oftext.I was looking for a new guild on my server after my old one disbandeddue to the guild leader leaving. One of my old friends said that hecould get me into this guild called "Unleashed". I recruited for themand I was accepted as a trial into the guild after about 1 day ofsorting out my gear and what not. I got in and I immediately starteddoing what I did in my old guild as a officer. As my old guild said tome I worked hard for the guild all the time and organized most things.I recruited about...10 more good raiders who are now part of team bwho are 1 boss behind on progression.(6/13 hc mode for team A) Due tothis and joining raids, providing food and flasks for most of themembers I was promoted to officer. I was amazed at this but some ofthe members were angry that a new guy was already officer. It took meand about 2 over officers to calm them down over about 1 hour. Afterthat argument I went on officering(I think thats a word =P) duty andhelped the raids. However I noticed the Gm acting strange about 3 daysbefore he left. He told me I was leading the raids and telling thetactics to the new recruits(We let the trialists have a go with themain raid before putting them into team b). As I said before the gmleft and I was put into charge of the guild. Strangely enough theguild stayed together and nobody left. I implanted new rules that theofficers will lead the raid in a cycle and I would lead it 2 per weekwith another officer leading team a when I wasn't there. We've had agood couple of months now and I think we can get realm first 14/14 hc.
