This is really sad. I suspect the problem is that they decided to judge based on categories, and there weren't enough dagger entries. Everyone wants a sword or a mace.

The staff and sword look pretty good. The mace is impressive, even if he got the band around the sphere misinterpreted, and the painting on the sphere is very unsubtle; he did go to the trouble to make the runes float around it.
