BlizzCon 2011 tickets on sale May 21 and 25

Blizzard has announced via the BlizzCon site that tickets for BlizzCon 2011 will be available for purchase in two batches: once on May 21 at 10 a.m. Pacific time, and a second time on May 25 at 7 p.m. Pacific time. The price has increased (again) to $175 per ticket. Virtual tickets will be available for $39.95, the same as last year.
Those wishing to attend the charity dinner can do so by purchasing the $500 ticket at Saturday, May 28 at 10 a.m. Pacific time.
[EDIT: May 25th ticket sales start at 7 p.m. PT, not 7 a.m. PT.]

It wasn't sorted out. They basically beat it back too deep for it to come back quickly. So we're still gonna have to go as deep as the strongest part of it is and finish it there. Maybe us, maybe a book, but it's not done.

The increase in price does make it more difficult on me to attend this upcoming year. Hoping to be able to go with a group of friends. I was able to attend last year and was actually quite disappointed in the goody bag. My first Blizzcon was in 08 and while there was nothing major in it like the figure, the goody bag had a lot of nice little character goods that appealed to a larger variety of fans. Heck the picture gallery offered on WoW Insider was great. There was a lot to admire. However with the price increase and the goody bag having less variety of items I am not really looking forward to the bag as I used to. Is it worth it? Yes very likely it is. But it was the little things like the Diablo mints, the hand wash, and QQ tissue that really brought memories.

Yeah...so badly wish I could go but sadly, no passport and money is already scarce enough for me even if I *did* have one.
For those who want a good chuckle and reminder how over-the-top a lot of people make Blizzcon out to be, I recommend watching a certain Flash movie:

Okay... I want to attend the benefit dinner and it includes tickets to the convention. But, why are the dinner tickets sold AFTER the CON? I'll have to purchase the CON tickets first and pray that I'll be able to return them in the event I can't get dinner tickets.
GG Blizz.
