No, leatrix isn't good for people who have inherently poor pings. Poor Interent connections such as satellite connections, connections through proxies will always be poor. However the TcpAck hack on machines which use windows Vista/7 will report lower latencies on proper broadband connections. I did the registry fix manually and it helped not only the reported lag but also the actual lag i felt in game. Search tcpack fix on google or your favourite search engine if you use Vista/7, backup your registry and try it. If your pings go up go back to previous registry if it works leave it.
P.S. This registry setting may affect how quick web browsing or P2P is, which is why i say "BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY" before applying this fix.
