Personally, I refuse to queue alone as a tank anymore. I always bring at least 1 dps or heals I am comfortable with. Far too often I would get put into undergeared groups (I am convinced the better your gear is the worst the group the df puts you in, but this is all speculation) that don't understand CC, attacking marked targets, etc... In fact, 9 times out of 10 when I get put into a pug with a hunter, they end up trying to pull to every mob, and make the excuse "but I am misdirecting" at which point, I have to remind them, that we still needed to CC the healer mobs (and, as far as dps classes go, I would prefer to have a hunter over most).

So, yeah, random pugs do suck for tanks, and even the little goodie bag isn't going to be enough to convince me to queue alone again.
