I sometimes feel like no portion of the game is really real to me until it's featured in machinima. Until someone's put the game dynamic to music and video, it just doesn't tend to stick out in my head. I've been pretty successful at ignoring Harrison Jones in Cataclysm, but thanks to Greyfoo, I'll have to learn Archaeology.
Greyfoo has put his immortal stamp on Harrison Jones. For the first time, I actually care a tad about the master of WoW antiquity. And Greyfoo's explanation of why Jones does what he does makes the character a little more empathetic.
This isn't the first time Greyfoo has changed our opinion about the game. "I hated the draenei until Exodar Disco," says Mat McCurley. "I love Velen now, and I like their story."

Is this based off an original song...I can't seem to put my finger on it if it is. If it isn't this song is actually really good, I mean, it would be better if the singer was better...but its awesome either way.
GreyFoo is far and away my favourite machinima creator. I'm always happy when he puts out a new video. He writes extremely enjoyable pop tunes, cleverly amusing lyrics and the production value of the visuals is generally always strong and compelling.
This has cemented Greyfoo as one of the machinima greats for me. When I think of good machinima I think of Oxhorn, Yumfries, Wowcrendor, and now Greyfoo.
This movie reminds me of the reason I actually liked the 4th Indiana Jones movie; because Iny actually got together with his girl from the first movie. I always wondered what happened to her in movies 2 and 3.
Based on Karen Allen's continual googly faces at Harrison Ford and flat delivery of her lines in the 4th movie, I speculate she was off in an institution during films 2 & 3 and was only released after a lobotomy (with a botox chaser).
@John That's pretty rude. If I remember my movie trivia correctly, the woman got out of acting and had a family. She only came back for the part in the fourth movie.
When I said what I did, I meant I wondered what happened to THE CHARACTER. Not the woman playing the roll. Sheesh. Some people will take any opportunity to insult, even something as innocent as wondering where a story thread had gone.
That was exceptionally well-synced to the music. I think every action Harrison Jones did that could have been synced to the music was. He even walked in beat.
I don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said. I'm as blown away as everyone else. I LOVE videos that look at a a completely different Point of View and and let's face it, Harrison's story needed to be told! :)
Harrison Jones, on the other hand, is lazy storytelling at its worst. Seriously, *half of Uldum* given over to a pop culture reference? And for that matter, *all* of Burning Steppes? Blizzard overplayed the pop culture thing, and I hope to Yogg-Saron they dial it back in 5.0.

That was such a sad story. Though I suppose that his loss is our gain.

Very watchable video with a catchy, haunting song. My Greyfoo fandom is reinforced once again. :D
I was going to complain that I couldn't quite catch all the lyrics, then SHAZAM! I discovered the lyrics posted in the YouTube comment. Win-win!

Whoa, I'm really impressed! Great job on the music, lyrics, original graphics, all in service to the story.

Mr. Gray didn't care for Mr. Jones before this? You make me cry!
