Warlocks getting male and female versions of all demons

I'm happy to share we actually do have plans for offering players a choice between male and female versions of all warlock demons. This is a task already in our system, though I don't have a time frame for you at the moment. Other art tasks could always take precedence, but we're committed to making this happen. :)
It looks like warlock pets will be getting all new art as well as choices, potentially through glyphs, as to whether their demons are male or female. After reading this post, I quickly began to think about what each pairing of pets could be. Voidwalker and the voidmistress? Imp and girl imp? Succubus and incubus? Mrs. Infernal! I am eagerly awaiting all of this new art.
We have no time frame for these new pet models, but I would not hold your breath for patch 4.1.
WoW Patch 4.1 is on the PTR, and WoW Insider has all the latest news for you -- from previews of the revamped Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub to new valor point mechanics and new archaeology items.

MRS. Infernal? She's married?!? O.o
Anathemys Apr 14th 2011 9:23PM
Hey, what can I say? Lady's HOT!
Bill Apr 14th 2011 9:42PM
Of course she's married, look at those curves!
On an off topic note, I think this is sort of a bad idea; as expressed by this comic:

I'm hoping for more diversity in demon form for demo sepcced warlocks.
Some people might think it looks cool, but I personally don't like looking like a purple Gumby. With wings. But that's just me.

what do you call the female Doomguard? Wife. ;-)
bldavis59 Apr 15th 2011 12:33AM
@ bill
i instantly thought of that too!
Coups Apr 14th 2011 8:05PM
A lot of females in my guild are gonna be happy with this. I think it's quite cool actually, interested to see the female imp. :P

Please spay and neuter your felhounds.

We can only hope this also comes with the much-desired change to Metamorphosis as well. You'd think it'd be easy enough if they're already "tweaking" models to just, I don't know, take the Succubus model and pimp it out a bit.
It's not that big an issue on most races, but my teeny tiny Gnome suddenly growing 3-4 feet and gaining probably 200 pounds is just weird.

A female imp will probably look like a female goblin.

Summon Imp now summons Justin Bieber
Summon Succubus now changed to Summon Ryan Reynolds
Summon Felhound now summons Felkittens
Summon Felguard now summons The Bride
Summon Infernal now summons Infernette (same model)
Summon Doomguard now summons Elizabeth Hurley (circa Bedazzled)
Summon Voidwalker now summons Luke Skywalker (Who knew: the Voidwalker is already a girl?)

They may have to swap around the roles of some of the opposite gender demons. The incubus (yes, not "male succubus") might replace the felhound ("I steal your mojo, man!"). As for the Fel Kittens ... daw, cute.... What? Combat? But... kitties!
Sedna Apr 18th 2011 9:23AM
Summon Succubus now summons the Old Spice Guy. F&*$ YES.

ROFL! I'm pretty sure people weren't thinking about THOSE demons. X-p Too funny though. That would have been a great April Fools joke though.
If they come through on this can we hope for Mane-less kitties for our female druids?
AutumnBringer Apr 14th 2011 8:35PM
Wow, I never thought of that. That's messed up - female druids should be able to get that sleek lioness look about them as kitties.
Dreyja Apr 14th 2011 8:42PM
Totally! There are few things so masculine than a mane, to be honest.
CDave Apr 14th 2011 9:46PM
How about the breasted moonkin mentioned at blizzcon? *shudder*
jealouspirate Apr 14th 2011 11:05PM
Ever consider that female Tauren and female Worgen actually DO have manes in their humanoid form?
Why are their manes feminine when in humoid form and masculine when it cat form? A female tauren has horns and a mane. Her cat form has horns and a mane. Not seeing a problem here.
Night Elf cats have no manes, and Troll cats have just as much crazy hair as an average Troll.
Superthrust Apr 15th 2011 12:07AM
i cant wait for a male felhound with a giant fel-penis draggin.
Dreyja Apr 15th 2011 12:42AM
@jealouspirate
Actually, yes! That being said, we are talking about transformations that match the environment. There are a FEW male-cat models that are mane-less but not many.
If a druid is transforming into a cat that is similar to one of the creatures they bonded to, then a female version shouldn't be too much to ask.
Showing that a female Gilnean... has a "mane" is NOT a good example, given that the canines they are mimicking don't have the same dimorphic "mane."
The precedent lies with their animal friends, in many cases.
