ROFL! I'm pretty sure people weren't thinking about THOSE demons. X-p Too funny though. That would have been a great April Fools joke though. If they come through on this can we hope for Mane-less kitties for our female druids?

Wow, I never thought of that. That's messed up - female druids should be able to get that sleek lioness look about them as kitties.

Totally! There are few things so masculine than a mane, to be honest.

How about the breasted moonkin mentioned at blizzcon? *shudder*

Ever consider that female Tauren and female Worgen actually DO have manes in their humanoid form? Why are their manes feminine when in humoid form and masculine when it cat form? A female tauren has horns and a mane. Her cat form has horns and a mane. Not seeing a problem here.Night Elf cats have no manes, and Troll cats have just as much crazy hair as an average Troll.

i cant wait for a male felhound with a giant fel-penis draggin.

@jealouspirate Actually, yes! That being said, we are talking about transformations that match the environment. There are a FEW male-cat models that are mane-less but not many.If a druid is transforming into a cat that is similar to one of the creatures they bonded to, then a female version shouldn't be too much to ask. Showing that a female Gilnean... has a "mane" is NOT a good example, given that the canines they are mimicking don't have the same dimorphic "mane." The precedent lies with their animal friends, in many cases.

i can see why people might think this is a joke, but (and i'm sorry for mentioning this again) what if updating the demon models isn't just for warlocks sake, but work already taking place for future content? makes it feel like less of a stretch for me. i don't know!

@DreyjaI see your point, but then you can get into an argument about which features are from the cat and which features are from the humanoid. The Druid animal forms are all supposed to have elements of the race that is transforming into them. For example, cats don't have horns or tusks, but the Tauren and Troll cats do. So you could argue that the female Tauren's cat mane is a Tauren feature, not a cat one.
4-15-2011 @ 9:28AM
@jealouspirateYou COULD argue that, except that there is a large difference between "Mane- a ridge of hair running down the dorsal side of the neck" and "Mane- the elongation of all the hair located on the neck and throat. I fully expect that a female Cat form for tauren would have a mane, just not the one you're thinking of. See http://nookawolf.deviantart.com/art/Female-Tauren-Druid-cat-form-200022227 for an example. :)

Night Elf Druid kitties don't have manes. But I guess they're more reminiscent of tigers or leopards than lions...

Although I love my worgen druid (female), I had a very silly conversation with a male N.Elf druid guildy over our apparent gender swap in cat form. But beyond this, I want a boomkin in a skirt! Or even better, old tree form in a skirt! Anything at all to indicate that my character is female while in form would be awesome.
