Around Azeroth: We don't bow down on nobody's ground
So, peasant, you complain that my rule leaves the common man with no choice in how he's governed? I'll give you a choice. How shall I execute you today? Shall I use the three axes, or the three maces? I can use three weapons, you know; that's one of the benefits of having a prehensile tail. Also, I can scratch the spots on my back that a two-armed creature can't reach. Look, I'm doing it right now. Oh, yeah, that's the spot. Well, now I don't itch, so I don't feel like executing you anymore. You may leave, peasant. (Thanks to Xandor of Bordello of Blood on Galakrond [US-A] for the screenshot.)

Prehensile tail... GAH where was that from?! Great, that'll be bothering me all day I just know it.

I will be bothered with the thought of Why Do Fantasy Always Have To Be So Feudal?
What ever happened to the benevolent ruler - or democracy?
(Agreed, Azeroth would be a terribly boring place with laws governing the execution of outlaws, People Who Have The Gear You Want and ogre genocide just to get exalted for a mount, but still ...
Maybe, sometimes, it would be better to try diplomacy in Alterac before a major battle, especially since the batle tends to become an absolute barbaric anarchy without any leadership at all.
"No I won't heal you, you called me a nug-humping noob earlier, you excrement-face son of a woman with dubious sexual morale!"
"Uh?")

Why are WoW governments so Feudal? It's due to dramatic conflict!
There's much less conflict to be had if a government is benevolent or diplomatic. It's true there's still some conflict (see: Real Life), but those governments only function well in times of peace. Haven't had those in Azeroth lately.

You're right. It wouldn't have played as well at the Wrathgate if Arthas upon called out by Bolvar had said: "Let's just have a sit down and talk about it, shall we? Tea?"
