You have a couple problems here. #1, TRADE CHAT. Trade chat is the cesspool of humanity on nearly every server I have played on. On most servers, you can't say anything without people bashing the crap out of you, or joining in.

#2 addons & stuff: There are constantly guild recruitment ads in trade, and a great deal of people use addons to filter trade, or simply just /leave trade. I have never personally joined a guild on a "main" toon because I saw an ad in trade.

#3 what do you have that they don't? You have a raiding guild and are short 3 people for a successful team? Join the 100's of other guilds on your server with the same problem. Literally. Find another guild who is larger/higher level etc, get to know the gm and/or officers. When you find one that looks like you will fit in socially, see if the GM will give you an officer spot in exchange for absorbing your guild. That way "your" people will feel they have a voice. If it fails, you can always go back to your guild later on, and by then hopefully the haters will forget.
