Around Azeroth: The smallest buccaneer
Question for the EU readers: Does the EU version of the game have all the Nazi references in Uldum removed? If so, can I order a copy? Firemane of Trivial on Hyjal (US-A) transformed herself into a pirate gnome at Schnott's Landing in Uldum, but she was still unable to lighten the mood in the area. Hey, Blizzard -- your jokes are not exactly Mel Brooks quality.

Are you serious? Main difference is one is a political group while the other is an ethnicity.
Matt Apr 19th 2011 10:41AM
here...let me fix that for you:
hating the national socialist party for scapegoating a traditionally persecuted group because of nothing more than their ideology and the fact that they made a convenient target to misdirect to for Germany's failure to positively rebound from it's economic collapse post World War I and promoting their systematic extermination? OK
hating the persecuted group because of an entrenched mindset perpetrated throughout Western culture since medieval times and based on nothing more than myth and hearsay? not OK
double standard you think exists? laughable
fix your shit, jackass

Nazi = responsible for the deaths of millions of Jews.
Jew = a person.
Not a double standard.

Your resemblance to a cigar is remarkable.
Or is that a cigar?
Xantenise Apr 19th 2011 10:45AM
Considering the Nazis killed millions of people for simply being born, I wouldn't say so.
Xantenise Apr 19th 2011 10:46AM
Wow, the page reloads as I post my comment and I see I've already been beaten to the chase AND the guy's been downrated to oblivion!
I love you guys.

And lets not forget the 19million Russians killed by the Nazis. Plus many other groups they didn't like.
Drakkenfyre Apr 19th 2011 10:52AM
Wait, hating a religion, and hating a group that were bent on exterminating the people of that religion, and conquering the world, not to mention purge anyone who didn't live up to their ideal of perfection, and eliminate all forms of freedom of religion, is the same thing?
I am going to take it you are a Nazi sympathizer, and your German username is unfortunate.

@Drakkenfyre
But wasnt Freud an Austrian neurologist?

While I believe you do get xformed into a piratical type image around Schnott's Landing, you'll notice the hat is solid, they are in fact wearing Burgy Blackheart's Handsome Hat.

I found the entire set-up wonderful given that I love the Indiana Jones feel to the whole place.
wow Apr 19th 2011 10:13AM
Idd, it's dodgy Germanic references ahoy. Ironically when I went there first time around I thought that zone was a homage to Knots Landing ^^
Randy* Apr 19th 2011 10:32AM
I agree with you. When the show was on, we always referred to it as "Snot's Landing."
Vertax Apr 19th 2011 10:22AM
They are there, but as the UK still likes to poke fun at the Nazis, you end up with a nice Indian Jones/Black Adder 4 cross

Blackadder Goes Forth was set during the First World War.

A Buccaneer? Seems awfully steep to me....
