Not everything was great back then: a serious rift developed on several servers between raiders and" casuals" - the raiders were getting snotty at his slow the collection effort was, and thecasuals, who by then had figured out they got very little in return, either started gouging the raiders for mats, or simply boycotted the entire thing. That battle raged on the wow forums the entire time. Tcasual players felt like they were being forced to farm and give up profits to benefit raiders, and the raiders were making ut worse by making comments like" we're too busy raiding to farm". Another serious issue was that on several servers, guilds who had the scepter were blackmailing their servers to open at a reasonable time. I remember tha issue was a fairly heavy one on the forums, too, and that one guild was actually demanding gold.Me, i saw about 60 seconds of the gates opening, got dc'ed, and didn't get back in until it was all over. Funnest time? Not really.@
