Around Azeroth: Roland the skinless Thompson gunner
Look, it's a gunblade! (And somewhere out there in the universe, Square Enix's lawyers perk up their ears and start preparing a copyright infringement suit.) Slaymore of Ravenholdt took a ride through The Barrens, which gave him ample time to practice his favorite hobby -- "improvising new and interesting ways to make things dead."

It also made my day especially since I'm sick of "damn kids and their music today" being all that anyone ever mentions.
RIP Warren

Warren Zevon belongs in the Rock Hall. His lyrics were unique but his refusal to compromise with record label heads limited his audience. “Werewolves of London” was his only big hit, but what a song.
I wrote on my Rockaeology blog at http://bit.ly/hM8zlx that Zevon said that the frightening images in his songs – like “Excitable Boy” and “Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner” hid what really scared him. "Sickness, doctors, that scares me. Not violence -- helplessness. That's why I turn to violent stories."
