Any word on how the Battle.net heirlooms works? Can the items be sent accross servers or just between Battle.net accounts on the same server?

I believe it means that you can send BoAs to any toon on your battle.net account as long as they are on the same server. They've streamlined a lot of the stuff for two wow accounts on the same battle.net account. However, it is still impossible to send items to a toon of yours on another server.

Pretty sure it isn't across servers - I recall a blue post saying that would still be a while coming because of the crazy coding it would require.

I think you mean "very classy using the same line every WoW fansite uses every patch cycle."
I like Boubouille but the guy didn't invent the wheel or teach humanity how to slice bread. Additionally, the act of combining letters to form meaningful expressions existed before him, too.

If they added anything for past cata lore it would probably have to do with the Tauren and how Carine died, i still want some type of in game questline explaining that.
Not much happened in org unless you count the actual fight between Garrosh and Carine.
There is a lore reason why there opening old Ironforge an Old ironforge isn't just pre cata ironforge which is what it seems like your thinking.
Its the place where the king of Ironforge (don't remember the name atm) was killed in the shattering book.
Old Ironforge has actually been there this whole time, clever people could glitch and get there before.
There is no old Orgrimmar. Orgrimmar was destroyed by elementals.
