I love patch trailers, and this one is no exception. Get ready for Patch 4.1: Rise of the Zandalari, with this video showing what the Zandalari are up to, the recruiting of the troll tribes, and the lament of the troll cities of Zul'Farrak and Zul'Drak falling. Check it out, get hyped, and get ready for the fight against the Prophet Zul and the Zandalari. WoW Patch 4.1 is on the PTR, and WoW Insider has all the latest news for you -- from previews of the revamped Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub to new valor point mechanics and new archaeology items.
I'm not saying that I'm complaining, cause I think dungeons will be fun. I think it's interesting that Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub are coming back as heroics to help people gear up for raids. What interests me about that, is the original raids came out in much the same way. Zul'Gurub came out to help people fill some gear slots to help break into MC, and Zul'Aman was put out to give groups that raided Kara some more gear options to help catch up to guilds who were able to consistently fill 25 man raids.
It seems whenever there is a wall for a large group (not everybody) trolls act up, and provide unique gearing options. It'll be fun to punk them down again. :)
Not going to lie: I kind of hope the Zandalari win out. Or that there's a splinter-faction of the Zandalari that want nothing to do with it, and they end up living. I'd really like to see one of the troll empires grow and live along side the Alliance and Horde, without having to go to war with either faction. But, alas, it cannot be so, since all land we can see on our map is currently divided between the Alliance and Horde, which means that, no matter what, the trolls would be fighting somebody.
I liked the Trailer a lot and Vol'jin walking out makes it all the better. While I wouldn't expect him to get a speaking part in this I would like to see Elder Torntusk of the Revantusk tribe too but that adds a lot of backstory for a fairly short trailer.
Also would have been nice to talk about Zul'Dare or Rastakhan. We know so little about these in the World of Warcraft times but once again adds a lot of backstory.
This would have also been a Great Time to throw in some Dark Trolls but its the same issue.
The only other thing I would take issue with is while Zul'Dark and Zul'Farrak might have fallen it would have been nice to see see come sand and Ice trolls in the meeting.
This leaves me wanting more which is good for a trailer but still fairly happy with it.
I'll rewatch the video. I didn't see him the 2 times I watched it.
And yes I think Trolls are cool but I enjoy the Warcraft Lore in general. That said things like Azshara rise to power, The South Sea of Azeroth, and Kul Turas would also be subjects I would love to hear more about.
That is the sad think about the Warcraft Lore is the These Trailers have really become some of the few moving events between expansions. More so than the Raids in a lot of ways.
Wow - I am unhappy with this turn of events. It's just too much of a shift from what the Zandalari were during vanilla. I think this is my first actual lore bitch, since I never played any of the other Warcraft Games, so I guess it was bound to happen someday.
Of course, this new Zandalari makes them more Troll-like, so in that respect, I suppose I buy it, but just barely.
I could maybe buy it if they weren't bring back Hakkar. I mean, they hated that guy, they were so damn against it! Then they hilariously say that the jungle trolls should pay back their murderers when it was the Zandalari who sent people to kill them! Argh!
Yeah I don't understand them trying to bring back the god they were trying to destroy when they were neutral to both factions. I understand everything else, why they want to be back in power again and so on but this whole Blood God thing I don't get.
I'll rewatch the video. I didn't see him the 2 times I watched it.

"Our kind faces extinction."
Really? Because It seems like there are more Trolls in the game than grains of sand in Uldum.

NO, you're thinking trolls, the jerks. Not Trolls, the characters.
Just sayin'

Oh man, I love the Prophet's hair, the combination of the dreadlocks and the mohawk. Wish that option were available to player characters.

Two words:
WOW!
Ok, that's only one, but it's one BIG word, so it counts as two!

I saw what must have been a Drakkari standing at the meeting's fire.
Sounds like you wound enjoy TrollCall.net. Unfortunately, the site has been rather inactive this year.

Really cool trailer, but yet more Metzen voice-acting.
