The Daily Quest: Raiding, real life, and remembering

WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative, and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.
My guild is busy smooshing hard modes left and right, but like any other guild, we have our share of call-offs. It seems to be the season for travel and real-life fun, as plenty of guilds are sharing the same struggles with busy people just being ... well, busy! Today we've got a smattering of posts from around the blogosphere, including a helpful post on raiding while traveling.
Is there a story out there we ought to link or a blog we should be following? Just leave us a comment, and you may see it here tomorrow! Be sure to check out our WoW Resources Guide for more WoW-related sites.

- Jaded Alt has a guest post on real-life raiding skills gleaned from World of Warcraft.
- Orcish Army Knife points out why a heroic version of Scarlet Monastery would be an amazing idea.
- Lastly, Pugnacious Priest shares a little wistful reminiscing that I can get behind -- the lack of secret, hidden places in Azeroth since old world flying went live.

The destroyer of raids everywhere: real life. If only we could vanquish this foe!
New post is up at Corath's Blog (http://corath.wordpress.com): all about my shadow priest, and how they really DO melt faces.

Enjoy!

Teamwork, communication, and problem solving are skills used in taking and on the job.

I don't think I dig the idea of Scarlet Monastery as a heroic -- what would they do, make it four separate heroics? They are a bit too short individually to really consider a fair accomplishment for 70vp, but would be too long if Blizz somehow strung them together.
But alas, it does beg the question what the next logical one would be...

I could see them combining the entirety of the monastery as a heroic with a brand new underground wing and new encounters. Maybe the story is some Forsaken is getting too overzealous with their victory in the monastery while a crazed Scarlet Crusader tries to form a new order.
Honestly, they could do a lot for Tirisfal Glades what with that speculation on old god stuff underneath the land.
It could be neat to see them make a brand new monastery design for that area, too. I seem to recall that dungeon in particular needing some much-needed model love.

One of the commenters actually suggested joining all four Monastery wings together and making it a raid, which would be interesting!

Just thought I'd mention my blog, for the consideration of WoW Insider readers and editors.

Largely a healer perspective, but the topics range from tanking stats to UI principles to the mental state for healing. Thanks for any looks.

Orcish Army Knife's post is just plain genius. It's a great read, and as usual Rades makes the lore behind it actually... interesting! :D (And Pugnacious Priest's is so true, and so sad.)
