In spirit of Blizzcon this year our podcast is doing a lot of Blizzcon/WoW/videogame related episodes. WoW Insider readers might be interested to listen in--especially if interested in the people behind the Blizzcon costume contest. :D And yes, this is Pocket from the WoW webcomic Slash AFK.

ok, im new to listening to podcasts and it seems like all of the ones i click on is useless talking about the maker's week (i got sick, or we finally downed H nefarian, etc.). is there any podcasts on this list that are more like the podcasts blizzard did a while back? you know, analysis, news, mabye some inside info, and reviews of new content.

I am completely biased, but feel free to take a listen to our podcast,the Warcraft Lounge. Our podcast it more or less divided evenly between raiding news and patch analysis, along with gold making. (It depends on where we are in a patch's lifecycle.)
My cohost has been in a top 50 raiding guild, I am more of a pug raider, and as far as gold making is concerned, we have over 1 million gold between us and no, we do not farm nor have ever farmed any materials (Episode 11 we rip farming mats a new one).
We do share the actual things we buy and sell during our Economic Minute (although our primary competition in the Auction House listens to our podcast too! ) and in the end we take all the data that is tossed at you, and try to turn it into useful information you can use for your benefit.
For example, nobody wants to be read verbatim the loot list ofZul'Gurub or Zul'aman... but the loot list doesn't explicitly come outand say, "Hey, there are no trinkets that drop from here at all!" (other than the vanity one), so if you can pick manage to pick up a BoE trinket or Darkmoon Card on the cheap...do it! That sort of thing.

We are in slow spot in the news Warcraft new cycle but that is likely to pick up next week. Not sure what your looking for when you say "blizzard did a while back? you know, analysis, news, maybe some inside info, and reviews of new content"

Other than that I'm not sure I can name for you a podcast that doesn't spend 5-15 minutes talking about themselves and what they have been doing. t
As to insider info really your not going to find that anywhere almost every podcaster does news takes it directly from here or MMO Champion.
There are honestly so many podcasts on here I can't tell you wants good or bad but when you find something you like they will likely point you to other podcast they like and you will find quality that way.
Best advise i can give is look for something that has more than 10 episodes and has been able to put them out every week on the same day.

I can't believe you'd mention other podcasts, include SModcast with Kevin and Scott, but completely leave out one of it's sister podcasts, which is even MORE in tune with WoW's core audience.
