Given that there are lots of ways to parse combat logs AFTER the fact, I'm not broken-hearted to see that Skada/Recount may not work. Every unasked-for spam of the damage meters (invariably DPS, not damage done) makes me a little stabby.

SpamageMeters is your friend. Won't stop them from posting lolmeters, but it at least condenses them to a single line in the chat window

Unfortunately, DPS meters aren't the only things that parse the combat log. My scrolling combat text add-on of choice, Parrot, also nukes performance. DataStore and/or Altaholic is also causing problems, but I don't know if that has to do with parses or not.
