Based on our raid night tonight, they've got a lot more work to do.

tried to do heroic magmaw, but we got held up on the chains. apparently if you press the chain button you only had a second to use the chain or it just wouldnt cast unless you re-hit the key. We got it eventually, after taking about half an hour after the first wipe because the loading screen wasn't doing anything, or people couldnt release spirit.
So yes, I agree. They have a LOT of work ahead of them.

No kidding...

Omnitron "froze" for us; the first robot shut down and then the 2nd and then... nothing, they both just stood there, 2 shut down and 2 not even activated.
Hal Apr 27th 2011 6:50AM
To be clear, our issues:
-The Magmaw trash was, for some reason, absolutely crushing me. Although on this, I can't be sure if our healers just weren't giving me enough attention or if it was the fact that the guy would hit me with Thunderclap either immediately before or immediately after his whirlwind/stun.
-Targetting reticles were going bonkers, and people were having a rough time placing them. This made the Magmaw parasites a real hassle.
-Mounting Magmaw didn't seem to be functioning properly, either.
-Someone mentioned Omnotron, but we managed to down him. However, the first several rounds, one bot would activate, and the second . . . wouldn't. Thankfully, by the time the first would shut down, another would pop up. It was really odd for a while, though.
-I use Elixirs of Water-Walking to fish in Tol Barad. Every so often, catching a fish would cause me to fall back into the water and be unable to get back up to the surface. This might be an issue older than the patch, I can't be sure.

We had issues in our raid as well. I was running the updated DBM and Skada, so I didn't think it was totally an addon problem.
On Magmaw, I had trouble targeting the jump/mount icon to start the chain phase. It turns out that the cursor couldn't/wouldn't turn into the green mount arrow if it was above any floating text. Moving the cursor around fixed that. I didn't have any trouble targeting and using the chains once mounted, however.
On Omnitron, the new DBM was giving me really odd warnings to switch before the shield would go up on the boss I was on. I just ignored it and waited for the telltale robotic voice that game provides to switch.
I didn't notice anything on Mal.
These were irritating issues, but nothing that kept us from one-shotting these bosses. Also, with the updated Skada and DBM (I ran no other addons last night), my fps was fine.
Because it's farm night, we jumped to BoT next. I don't know what was going on, but we kept wiping on Halfus (I know, it's embarrassing). Granted, we allow a couple of people to bring of alts on farm night, but still. Did I miss some patch notes, because we got pwned by the easiest raid boss in this tier outside BH? Eventually (and perhaps mercifully) we got stuck at the zone-in screen for the instance and we called it a night.
While I'm listing issues, as a rogue it felt like my stealth openers and sap had their range reduced. That may be just the perception as a result of the new increased speed that rogues move in stealth, but I swear I had to get closer to sap, garrote or cheap shot.

heroic council of wind down - progression!. A few issues with lag, some people not getting into instances timely.
divamom1996 Apr 27th 2011 8:45AM
You can say that again! Having each death in a raid or instance count as entering an instance? Our members got locked out throughout the evening over and over. Blizzard, get to work!
Revynn Apr 27th 2011 3:39PM
@ Nathan - We had the same problem. Toxitron didn't activate properly his first time around and we went 75% of the fight with only a single Golemn up.
Onlycloth Apr 27th 2011 12:49AM
Too bad the hotfix didn't include getting my fps from 7 back to 70
Felinae Apr 27th 2011 1:13AM
The FPS issue is probably caused by an addon issue. As reported separately, mods that parse the combat log such as Skada/Big Brother/MSBT/DBM/etc... are having issues which are affecting the frame rate. Update your mods or switch them off.
Jehosaphat Apr 27th 2011 1:14AM
I'd look into your addons that parse the combat log -- the API for that changed and a lot of addons haven't been updated yet. I know Skada has a new version out, and recount has an alpha on wowace.com that seems to work, but a lot of addons were hit by this.
Ez Apr 27th 2011 7:06AM
turn your quest, map, dps and buff addons off. Carbonite is a killer right now, as well as Raven, recount and Skada
g2g591 Apr 27th 2011 8:38AM
skada actually released an update last night to fix it up for 4.1, no idea about recount though
Joester Apr 27th 2011 8:49AM
Recount received an update around 8pm. I never received a FPS Issue when Recount was on, unlike others.
Aruhgulah Apr 27th 2011 1:01AM
Too bad the hotfix doesn't include moving the Booty Bay troll questgivers in the new quest chain to OUTSIDE Booty Bay so that those of us with Bloodsail Admiral (and who are still working on that long grind for BB rep) can actually complete the frakkin' chain sometime before the next expac.
Amaxe Apr 27th 2011 1:33AM
Makes me glad I got my rep back to Neutral during WoLK, and then anywhere from friendly to revered once I did the Eastern Kingdom part of the Loremaster.
Justin Apr 27th 2011 3:14AM
You can get them without landing. Don't land and they won't attack you. Same way you can get Landro.
staffan.johansson Apr 27th 2011 5:41AM
Meh. Serves you right for killing off all those Booty Bay bruisers and quest NPCs.
Kerevin Apr 27th 2011 10:25AM
This would be the whole 'In-Game Actions have In-Game Consequences' bit.
