This explains why, on the rare occasion I got to pug a raid way back when, people always passed on loot and then /rolled. That always confused me.

People always passed because the way gear was itemized upgrades were not always apparent. The time frame was too short to determine for some people, so it became a question of manners to pass, then discuss the loot as a group.You know, back when people actually spoke to each other in parties and had a reputation to maintain.

It does make sense to have it on Master Looter for raids, with people manually /roll-ing on upgrades they want. Raid drops are valuable and have reason to be carefully considered.5-man dungeon drops on the other hand can just be handled by the system.

@Shinae It wasn't on master loot, though. They'd pass on everything from greens to epics.
