I disagree with the example at the end about griefers who gank and flame you. From my own experience it is usually the people who get ganked or who lose a PvP fight somewhere in the world that behave like children, flaming and namecalling because they can't accept that they lost. WoW would have a lot more World PvP if it was possible to communicate cross-faction. Not as much of an incentive as lootable player corpses would be but still an incentive to gank, grief and just PvP to collect some sweet sweet hate talk.
