Raven looks interesting ... what I'm after is some kind of addon to show buff and debuff durations (eg DK diseases, spriest dots or paladin god-awful funsucking shackle Inquisition) as circles around the target, starting complete and ticking around to empty. If that makes sense. Can Raven do that, or am I looking for something else? Does such a thing even exist?

Try Icehud (or other hud addons). The default setup for most huds is to have health and mana up there, but really you can have any buff, debuff, cooldown, or whatnot up on those bars. I don't think any of them are full circles, but even just a curved bar up in the middle around my target is a pretty big help for me.I use it on my pally to track my inq, CC/silences on the target, and as a target castbar; on my rogue I track rupture/SnD/recup and my insight status (combat rogue mechanic) on top of the basics.

@ Fletcher - Tidy Plates can do this on the name plates, which I find usefulhttp://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info13674-TidyPlates.htmlor Quartz cast bars also have a debuff/buff trackerhttp://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7158-Quartz-ModularCastingBar.htmlI use both addons but mainly refer to Tidy plates to track my dks diseases
