I was worried that this patch would be terrible. But after I saw the last trailer...

I'm sure our priest can't wait to see what tier12 shoulders look like. He's way tired of us teasing him about having jars of Vick's Vapor Rub on his shoulders.

Wow, your guild is mature and kind. We have a goblin priest who refers to them as his shoulder-urinals.
And I apologize if that language is not acceptable for this site - not sure of the guidelines on that one.

mmo-champion linked to a translated German website interview with Cory Stockton that has more information about Firelands and about the legendary staff.

Does it seem like something is missing to anyone else? With the current information out there only appears to be 7 raid bosses where other tiers have significantly more than that. Even ToC with it's only 5 bosses had 4 lockout associated with it. As a lore fan I love that the story is going forward in huge steps, but as a raider I feel like something is missing. Like there should be another raid that hasn't been announced.

So, what happened to multiple small raids per content patch?
Sunaseni Apr 28th 2011 1:13PM
They only revealed one raid, but that doesn't mean nothing else is coming down. It's 7 or so bosses in Firelands, we have room for one 5-6 boss instance or two shorter instances.

If nothing else, it seems like the Abyssal Maw raid that's been talked up since the very beginning of Catalysm hype would fit in here. Neptulon's still MIA, and there's still all kinds of madness going on down in Vashj'ir. Plus, wasn't there talk of a new Ancient clam thing that would figure in there? And there's an entire subzone to the south of the Abyssal Depths that's modeled and sculpted and everything, but is deep in fatigue waters.
Maybe 4.3/4?

Seems a little odd/strange/fishy that Blizzard is on this full media blitz about the 4.2 patch. They are never this open about new patches this long before it sees the light of day.

I suspect a lot of Firelands has been ready for quite some time, they just delayed it to get ZG and ZA implemented online first, and the class rebalance delayed that.

Personally, I'm looking forward most to the Tier set. I don't hate the Sapphirum set as much as I did when I first saw it, but it's definitely underwhelming, and I'm hopeful that the Tier 12 will look better.
