Last meta for three of my toons... Last year, I queued for over 25 times and finally broke down crying ( I am woman mid-50s) at my keyboard. My husband came into the room to find out what was wrong and I attacked HIM for not helping me. I don't like pvp. I have no intention of doing pvp. When I did The Love Fool, I dropped The Fool, weeped, and deserted. Doing these BG achievements does NOT make me want to pvp. I don't understand why Blizzard is so intractable about this ONE meta...

Definitely know how you feel. This achievement has been standing in my way for 3 years now and I honestly just can't force myself into the BG's again this year to try again. I'm terrible at PvP and don't mind admitting it either. Inflicting my terribleness on a group and being abused in BG chat and killed repeatedly? No, not my idea of fun. I can do without that proto.

lady, if your husband plays wow and is a good pvp'er, you might want to ask him to simply play your character to get the achievement. Yes that is "technically" against the ToS, but some people just aren't built for pvp gaming. Hopefully he's familiar enough with your class to help you out. Otherwise run with some guildies or in a pre-made. Also, see my suggestions on the first page regarding speccing your character for battlegrounds. It's worth it, especially if you can actually cap that darned EOTS flag.

I didn't weep; I just made myself so much a nuisance to my own team, I must have made a couple of my teammates weep instead.

Well - I dislike PvE. But I try tondo it. I had to do H Deadmines to get the Santa hat. It took my group 4 hours to get it done, I lost the roll on the hat, and now I have to wait til next December to try again. Do I think Blizz should remove the acheive? No. Did I cry about it? No.

I'm one of those people who simply enjoyed this holiday for all the fresh PVE meat running around the BGs. I always thought that their blood was a fair compensation for the disruption they cause by not actually participating in the BG to win. Now that I read your comment I feel bad. I apologize. Won't engage in seal-clubbing this children's week.

See (cutaia)'s comments on the first page to see why 'running a dungeon, even though I don't like to' is NOT a fair comparison.
However, to just cement the point firmly into place, did trying to get that hat to drop cause you to have to put your dungeion mates into harms way? Did you have to do anything in the dungeon contrary to the way it was MEANT to be run? Did you send a clothie to tank Vanessa Van Cleef?
As an avid PvPer, can i ask you, in WSG, do you normally LET the enemy walk up to your flag and take it just so that you can return it? Does your ENTIRE raid group sit in the flag room waiting for the other side to come in and take the flag? Have you ever gone the entire time limit with NOBODY picking up a flag because no one wants to leave their own flag room?
Have you ever stolen a flag from a member of your own team in EotS when he put it down so that your team could keep it away from the opposite faction, just so you could cap it yourself with your orphan?
These are the strategies that SoHK makes us attempt. Saying that as a PvPer you have to do PvE and don't bitch about it doesn't compare at all. At least when you go into PvE you aren't trying to do things that are contrary to the spirit/progression of the dungeon.
