Warcraft Wisdom is an older machinima, one that's slipped by Moviewatch until now. It was created about a year ago as a celebration of the World of Warcraft and those who play the game.
I find a movie like this to be especially touching right now, when we've just had the first patch of Cataclysm land. It's a nice little anthem that reminds us why we play this game, with some wonderful imagery pulled right out of Azeroth.
Your mileage might vary, of course, but I thought FalanortheElf really did an amazing job of this video. Falanor chose the scenes and landscapes very well, creating an evocative reminder of our pay time in WoW. To the horizon, mates. Interested in the wide world of machinima? Excellent video! Very wise indeed. FalanortheElf did an incredible job putting together a great piece of (really) art. My hats off to you for finding this Michael.
Wow. I absolutely love this. In the few years I've been playing I have definitely learned things about myself and about people that have changed my outlook on life for the better. I hope more people feel this way and can enjoy the game for what it is :)
The poorly spelled pop psychology was meh, but holy crap those are some awesome visuals! I've never seen map viewer used so amazingly well. I miss old Azshara so much ...
The cinematography was great, all the visuals were amazing... but what is he trying to say? Am I paying Blizzard 15 dollars a month for friends and memories? That makes me feel like a bit of a loser if I have to pay someone for my friends and memories... Ah well, it was a good movie nonetheless.
I think the cinimatography was outstanding and well meshed with the music score. Very enjoyable. As to the spelling errors, ya well it happens. I'm the worst typer in the world. The words were from the guy's heart so judo's to him. He must have done a significant amount of work to put that one up and get it to mesh right.
Actually, sorry to say that was an honest typo there. Told you I was a horrible typer lol. I need an auto warning system if I screw up with spelling. I am often writing posts as well as working at the same time so I forget a lot.
That's a great way of putting it. I'll admit I was a bit hesitant at some of the messages being conveyed mostly out of a 'cringe, that's a little sappy', but I'm not dissing the guy for it at all. You can really tell it's from his heart, and the overall mood was excellent.
This actually made me take a moment to reflect on my past years of WoW and the times I was asked why I play it. And the times when someone I knew had doubts to why they play as well. This video holds a lot of truth for me, and watching it made me remember some of my experiences in the game that I will always keep with me. A film I want to share with my friends, and not just because of SWC pride. :P
Wow... just... wow. That video touches on so many things that have always drawn me to games. Games, of every form an fasion, are my passion. From the age of 5 I have been creating them, from the simple plots and gameplay children create to the maps I am now working on in the SC2 editor, and so few people realize just how important they are. I'll probably show this to everyone I know, especially my family, who have never seemed to understand the way I feel about games. This is the best video I have seen on Moviewatch, and I thank you deeply for showing it.
As someone that's been playing the game mostly solo for the last year, I'm reminded that this is a multi-player game. Just because I got sick of a bunch of people I played with, and then the next group retired, that's no reason to stop looking for others that could be good friends. Maybe it's time to try to find them before my subscription runs out.
I'm pretty sure this guy is not a native English speaker, because some of the mistakes that were made (specifically, how things were phrased at points) point to him not being a native English speaker. With that in mind, I can more than forgive the odd phrasing and spelling errors because I think the message was pretty cool. :)
Beautiful! In particular, I was really impressed at the fade from the skeleton to the flying proto-drake. Also, the bit about memories shaping who you are with Sylvanas standing there was really cool. And I got teary-eyed at at few points, I'm not gonna lie. ;)
@ Heather. I picked that up too. Not that he's a lousy speller, just that English is not his native language. Either way, I loved the point he was trying to make pop psychology or not. We should help others to make some good memories and love on them. That's what this life is all about. Loving your neighbor. Great job Falanor. Warcraft Wisdom indeed. :)

Generally, I don't go for sentimental stuff and the spelling errors on a few segments annoyed the crap out of me but ...
... Bravo. Wow.

I see what you did there.

It tries a LITTLE too hard near the end, but it's a *sincere* overkill, and that makes it ok in my book. Great video!

Awesome visuals and some great affects. Tied in with the music very well too. Looking forward to seeing more from this guy.
Got a bit too sappy around 4 minutes though.

I'm very late to this party but I have to chime in here.
BRAVO!
I wish I could say more about the depth of this work. You've captured so much about what brings me back to this game, on so many levels.
