Patch 4.2 Preview: Tier 12 armor sets

Firelands is not going to have any shortage of cool raid gear. The tier 12 armor preview has just been released and contains images of the paladin, mage, rogue, hunter, death knight and priest sets. Warlocks, warriors, shaman, and druids are currently absent, though we can bet druids will also have a fire motif, considering Fandral Staghelm's role in the Firelands raid.

Adventurers will soon brave the searing heat of Firelands in patch 4.2 and emerge with powerful new treasures. Today we present you with an early look at the paladin, mage, rogue, hunter, death knight, and priest tier 12 armor sets.

The hunter armor makes me drool, mostly because I imagine cooking steak on my head.

I completely agree. That's the first (and maybe only) hunter tier helm that didnt have to grow on me. I loved it right away. ^_^

It looks like the hunter just shoved the severed head of Executus on top of his own. T11 they wore a murloc head, T12 they wear a Flamewalker's head?

Killing these creatures and taking their heads is like a trophy, a proof of killing them. And since we don't have player housing, they have to wear it on their heads.

The hunter's set looks like the only saving grace in an otherwise lackluster display.
And seriously, Paladin set looks ugly.

Overall, I think blizz needs to hire new people in their design team. Tier sets have gone from bad to worse since wrath launched.

I like it except for the helm, actually. The one piece I really don't like - the eyepatch.
I can't say why, but being a pirate never excited me. The eyepatch always messed with my sense of balance in design. Its "uneven" in my mind, and it always unnerves me. Everything else looks great; I just hope it fits on my dwarf. So yet again, more removing helm for my hunter.
I will say this - better than the stupid murloc helm.

thanks Blizzard for the paladin dresses. It looks JUST like the priests cloth. Maybe we will fool the raid bosses into thinking we are squishy until SURPRISE its plate! muahaha...... Raid Boss: hahahahaha silly paladin, you look like a priest.

Its really terrible. When the new tanking heirlooms look way better than tier 12 Paladin armor...please go back to vanilla style. Please.

Congratz on being the first person to QQ about the paladin robe this tier. You won't be the last. I do, however, quite disagree with you, and believe you, like many others who voice the same complaint, miss the point.
Paladins look like priests because they ARE priests. Well, most of them, anyway. When Uther took up a maul and commenced to dishing out Divine Retribution, he did not forfeit his Clerical vows. He simple put on some plate pajamas under his robes.
Also, my first thought was of a fiery rendition of Judgement, and if you dis the Judgement regalia, you are not welcome in the hallowed halls of the Paladin orders.

Holy crap, dude! I saw the little pic, and I thought "wow warlock armor looks pretty cool" and I'm sure you can imagine my surprise when I saw in the gallery photos that it was the paladin armor. Yikes!
