The Queue: How else would he get in there?

The above image is what I spent my entire afternoon working on yesterday: a floating biosphere in Minecraft.
The house inside of it is purple because a wizard lives there.
Arkonn asked:
Why no heirloom shields!?
I really, really wish I knew. They've added the bind on account level 85 shield, but still nothing for leveling players. Considering the apparent tank shortage, it makes no damn sense that Blizzard would discourage leveling as a tank (or a healer) that way. The message I get with the current spread of heirlooms is that leveling a tank or a healer is Doing It Wrong(TM) and you should only level as DPS.
I wish Blizzard would add heirloom shields so that people are encouraged to level their warrior or paladin as protection and learn how it works before they hit level 85. Does the existence (or lack thereof) of heirlooms determine how you level? Absolutely. With heirloom Arcanite Reapers around, why in the world would you use lame green shields? There should be an awesome heirloom shield, too. Maybe they can take the Elementium Reinforced Bulwark and release a BoA Reinforced Elementium Bulwark.
Healers can have ... wow, the healing shields looked terrible back in vanilla. Um, how about a Reconstructed Red Dragonscale Protector?
Darku asked:
Did you guys see Wowhead's new news site? Is WoW Insider intimidated by a new WoW news site showing up?
Yes, we've seen it. Are we intimidated? Goodness, no. We can all work alongside each other just fine. We love Wowhead and we love what they do. People ask us if we're intimidated every time a new WoW site crops up, including Blizzard's own Battle.net blog. No, we're not intimidated; we love seeing the community work on something new. We should all be building off of each other's strengths to create the best possible content for the community, not being catty and nipping at one another all the time. We're never intimidated by new WoW sites. Each and every one of them opens up new opportunities.
I'm a big fan of Wowhead, so I'm very eager to see how they utilize their news site. Their database has already been slowly growing into one of the better datamining resources out there. Now they're just formalizing it. Major props to the Wowhead team, and I wish them luck on their new site.
Tim asked:
Is Project Lore still around?
Unfortunately, no. They went under quite awhile ago.
... In hindsight, answering this question immediately after that last one is a little crass. I didn't mean anything of it, I promise! I love you Wowhead! I'd never hurt you, baby.
Oscar asked:
What's a majordomo?
ma·jor-do·moThere you go.
–noun, plural -mos.
1. a man in charge of a great household, as that of a sovereign; a chief steward.
2. a steward or butler.
3. a person who makes arrangements for another.

Thus is the life of a Majordomo
Telwar Apr 29th 2011 11:25AM
5-1 that after we beat down Staghelm he repents and winds up getting ganked by Ragnaros after he opens the door for us.
I can't believe anyone would take that bet, though.

It was too soon the last time. This time, I'm expecting something closer to
"Master, you're guests... Have arrived...."
"SEND THEM IN. I'M READY FOR THEM NOW!"
sheyki Apr 29th 2011 11:27AM
I wonder what will happen if he says: "BUT I'VE GIVEN THEM MY EPICS LAST TIME!".

My money is on, "WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?"
CDave Apr 29th 2011 1:08PM
On normal he'll once again say "TOO SOON", but on heroic he'll say "AHH AT LAST I HAVE MY PANTS ON! NOW I AM READY FOR GUESTS!"

I play minecraft from time to time too, how do you get in and out of your biosphere?
Drakkenfyre Apr 29th 2011 11:18AM
You see those blue things? You swim.
Alex Ziebart Apr 29th 2011 11:18AM
I don't. It's purely decorative.
Though I suppose if I wanted to, I could swim up the waterfalls leaking out the bottom and get in that way.
Alex Ziebart Apr 29th 2011 11:18AM
Beaten by Drak. : (
Cheb Apr 29th 2011 1:28PM
Yeah, if you only play casually, you probably didn't realize you could swim up waterfalls. I didn't until I watched a youtube minecraft series where they showed it. It also makes a safe way down a sheer cliff wall or off a steep drop. Drop your water out of your bucket and presto, a water elevator.

Anathemys Apr 29th 2011 6:25PM
Nerf skeletons, buff zombies, spiders are fine.
Creepers can go die. In a hole. That's on fire. And under water. AT THE SAME TIME.

How does Blizzard determine what is allowed/not allowed when it comes to names for characters or arena teams? I've reported a player in my guild a few times now because he named his character after an illegal drug but nothing has been done in about a month.
Decaying Apr 29th 2011 11:15AM
On a similar note; how do the character name filters work? 'Cause I reported someone the other day for being called 'Queerqueer'. Now, i'm sure if I tried to name a character 'Queer', it wouldn't allow me, so why was using the word twice allowed?
Kellerune Apr 29th 2011 11:16AM
Out of curiosity, what is this illegal drug he is named after? Also, it may not be enough of a problem that Blizzard feels they need to do anything about it. Just because it bugs you doesn't mean the rest of the server, or guild finds it particularly offensive. I don't know blizzard policy exactly, but it would have to be vulgar for something to happen about it.
(cutaia) Apr 29th 2011 11:18AM
Haha...you're reporting someone in your own guild? That's an interesting dynamic...
Decaying Apr 29th 2011 11:18AM
Oh, and to answer your question - a name containing a reference to an illegal drug is against the Naming Policy, so that character should have been flagged for a name change, and possible even suspended.
You can find the Naming Policy here: http://eu.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_GB&articleId=50071&parentCategoryId&pageNumber=1&categoryId=9764
