Breakfast Topic: Did you achieve your Noblegarden goals?
Noblegarden has come and gone this year, quickly followed up by Children's Week in Azeroth. It was only for one scant week that we dug around starting towns for eggs, ate ridiculous amounts of chocolate, and bred rabbits like, well, rabbits.
Personally, I'm not the biggest Noblegarden fan -- at least, I wasn't last year. This year, it seems the drop rate on a lot of the items directly from the eggs was increased, as I did not have to purchase anything with chocolates. This year, the holiday was much more bearable. On my then-alt-now-main warrior, created almost one year ago, Noblegarden was a success.
Did you participate in Noblegarden and achieve your noble goals? Was Noblegarden the last holiday that you needed for your coveted meta-achievement What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been?

I did not. I'm not really sure why I didn't pay any attention to it - must be because I have so many alts to level, and I was too preoccupied. I found some eggs on my new shaman main for a couple of achievements, but aside from that, I didn't really bother.

Yep, solo'd [Hardboiled] on my low 20's Paladin (took the placeable Noblegarden Chocolates, and got bunnied my first try) and while I was in the area did most of [Desert Rose] then it was just a skip across the chasm between the Loch and the Badlands. Now all I have left is [Shake Your Bunny Maker] which thankfully doesn't have a time limit.

[Shake Your Bunny Maker] doesn't have a time limit??? I'm incredibly grateful (and frustrated) if that's true!
Gotta test it out...

technically [Desert Rose} doesn't either, but all the zones are higher level than I was at the time, and I was passing through them, so I got it done.
But yes, [Shake Your Bunny Maker] can be completed at any time (I've never finished it within the Noblegarden week, but have finished it twice) All of the other one of each race achievements require an item that disappears at the end of the holiday.

Haha fantastic! Was despairing that I had not finished because I got in the mood to finish up an hour before it shut down. I than nearly finished but realized that the flowers had a 5 minute cooldown and I had all of the horde races left. Tried to do it after and didn't get credit, guess its just pretty hard to tell if that blood elf is a guy or a girl...

I got through the entire holiday without any of my characters getting ears put on them.
So yes, yes I did!

Oh, I also got about 100g in tips across my six dwarf females. That wasn't really a goal, but it's definitely a nice perk.

I'm rather meh about Noblegarden this year. I suppose I should run the quests to get another pet, but I set out to do that yesterday and found myself far more interested in fishing in Uldum instead.

I think you mean Children's week, right?
I found that the new orc orphan quests were very touching, and I love the new snail pet.
But yes, Noblegarden would have been better if there had been something new about it.

Early reports from my server/battlegroup are that people are not being so nice on both sides. Last year I was surprised to find people on both sides allowing us achievement runners to pick up flags and whatnot for 5 min or so til everyone gets them. then the real match begins. This year not so much. Partial blame lies on people not fully understanding the requirements (capping the player before he takes the flag does not allow you to return it to it's base). So I was lucky enough to get flags in EotS but not so much in WSG. The other 2 are easy enough to get at any given time.

@Noyou
I wish the other two were that easy...I got SoHK on my original main (who only has this and Midsummer to go) yesterday with no issues (likely due to it being the first day), but today on my new main I was in AB and was 1 second away from assaulting the flag TWICE and both times I got killed before complete...to make matters worse, RIGHT after I died ANOTHER team member got the flag; so it was a loss (for my achievement) but a win for the team (since we won the match)...I'm ashamed, but I sat there typing curses into the BG chat =(
As for Noblegarden; my two 85's finished it, thanks to clever "fly-by's" in Stormwind; I'd fly higher than the flying guards and mouseover until I saw a race, then I'd click to see if it was a girl; if so, a quick zoom in, flowers, and zoom out, wait 5 minutes, repeat. Only 1 death doing it that way too, and only because I wasn't quite high enough one time and the guards got me...I only imagine what the guy was thinking I landed right in front of!

Did Noblegarden Friday/Saturday and finished Children's week Sunday. School of Hard Knocks and Shake Your Bunny Marker wasn't has hard as I expected.
Can't wait for the Fire Festival so I can get my Drake :D.
Strawder May 2nd 2011 8:15AM
I managed to do the entire Noblegarden achievement list and receive the Noble title in just 8 hours in one day. :D
Here's hoping I can do the same on Tuesday for most of Children's Week. School of Hard Knocks is going to take awhile.
Vladpr May 2nd 2011 9:28AM
I did every achievement for Children's Week on Sunday to finally get my drake. School of Hard Knocks took me about 2-3 hours.
Got the WSG one on my first WSG. Followed the flag carrier and dps'd him down, but when he was near death I just followed him and repeatedly clicked on where I thought the flag would appear. After this I just went to the Horde Flag and got the flag and dropped it, repeated a couple of times to allow some horde to get their achievements.
AB took 2 tries. Weirdly enough Alliance won both ... which was weird cause I had never done an AB and won. I only do PVP for holiday achivements though.
Eye of the Storm was interesting ... took 4 bgs to get it. Finally got it when I was the first to click on the Flag and ran to one of our towers being capped at the same time.
AV was also on the first try. I just ran to the 2nd or 3rd tower to capture that one instead of the first, where everyone else goes.
Good luck getting you achievements.

I did not meet MY goals.
I have the meta and the drake but this year I wanted the Elegant dress achievement.
I kept trying until I realised I'm most likely going to end up standing in this spot for hours to get one achievement because otherwise I would have to fight the eggs from 310% druids in flightform and other people who do "clever use of game mechanics".
I gave up and went to do heroics and play with AH. Wasnt that important anyway, but I still didnt meet the goals.
LynMars May 2nd 2011 8:26AM
School happened. So no. Even though I procrastinated way longer than I should have on some papers, I just wasn't able to get up the gumption to finish the achievements on either of my alts, though I'm rather close on one of them now.
Maybe with classes wrapping up for now I will try to get some achievements in on the next few holidays to work toward protodrakes for more characters.
Or I'll just save up gold and buy the faster flying speed.
Kal May 2nd 2011 8:35AM
Yep! Was able to get the title on my mage and get here the bunny polymorph spell :D
VSUReaper May 2nd 2011 8:38AM
Yes I did... over 2 years ago when achieves first came out.
Honestly, its a little disappointing to have all the world event achieves because now that means I have nothing to do when they roll around.
Granted, it is nice to not have to stress to get them all before the week is over, but when everyone in my guild is doing them, I feel left out almost.
Eirik May 2nd 2011 6:04PM
... that's what alts are for.
Kurtis May 2nd 2011 8:38AM
My main already has the title, so I pretty much ignored it. I have a female troll alt who hung out around a couple of the towns to help out other players.
