I hate pineapple on pizza. I hate anchovies too. But I'd rather stick a whole fish in my mouth than have fruit juice gush into my mouth with my garlic and sauce and cheese. Just think ling about it makes me want to toss my cookies.

If it's not a meat or cheese, it has no place on top of a pizza. And fish is not meat in the case of a pizza.

I vote for neither as well. The last time I had pineapple on a pizza was over 15 years ago and I ended up in the hospital with food poisoning, haven't had it since. As far as anchovies on pizza... no thank you.

Anchovies are delicious little morsels of salty goodness. They are great with pepperoni, bacon, and mushrooms.

I have a co-worker that eats anchovies for breakfast. Makes me want to hurl my coffee.

Pineapple AND ham. That's the way to go. Maybe some mushrooms too if you like them (I do).

I hate anchovies and pinneaple on a pizza, but chose the lesser level of "hateness" and picked Pinneaple, cause I CAN eat a Hawaiian Pizza even though I don't like them hehe.

I agree.. Both of those toppings make for a nasty pizza.

It was a tough call for me because pineapple goes pretty well with anchovies. The saltiness of the one coupled with the acid and sweet of the other make a nice combo.
But you made us choose one or the other so I went with pineapple.

I1d take Neither also. I can imagine better things on pizza. Although I can imagine better things THAN pizza alwell. Sometimes I can't get why this kind of food is so glorified. Why are there so many pizza restaurants? Why not putting some other food on the pedestal like that? Of course there are a lot of chains in the US (like, steakhouses) but not here in EU

I can't stand anchovies, but pineapple pizza is amazing. My favorite is probably the Hawaiian Barbecue Chicken Pizza.

Anchovies are considered culinary gold by chefs. I am not a chef so keep them. If you do pineapple you better do ham or even pepperoni (I tried it a couple times and is not bad. I have even had pineapple and jalepeno (I have some hindu friends and they are nuts about their jalepenos). As a rule though pepperoni is good with sausage or mushrooms. Once you find out that is the perfect pairing there is no need to deviate from it ;) As an aside, why do you guys have to pick the worst pics of food you can find? Not that there would be a good one for anchovies :p

@Travieso: Mushrooms? Onions? Those toppings are traditional and extremely good on top of pizza. And a pizza that's mozzarella/provolone heavy AND topped with shrimp & bacon is just awesome.
