Patch 4.2 PTR: 3-D models of Firelands bosses, new pets, and more

Among these models are all of the Firelands bosses, the vanity pets we mentioned earlier, and a full spread of new mounts -- new PvP mounts, firehawks, and all of that sort of thing. Do note, however, that the particle effects are not necessarily in place on these models in Wowhead's Flash viewer, so they won't all look quite right. The firehawks in particular are less than desirable without their fancy particle effects. If you switch to their Java viewer, it looks quite a bit better.
Oh, and that studly stag at the top of this post? The one and only Malorne. Whoa, whoa, back off, ladies. He's taken. That's Elune's beau, you know.

Actually, with all the ancients coming back... THAT is what would imagine Malorne to look like, just say'n.

That was my first thought - "THIS IS THE MOOSE THAT WAS PROMISED." Damn.
Smaller antlers and we'll have us a travel form! Malorne returning even gives them an excuse to add it now!

I have always wanted stag druid "mount" form. I know a lot of people complain about "not seeing their character," but you in no way HAVE to use it... besides, that's what every other class besides the druid is for :)

Some of these models look really great, but others I really hope aren't finished yet.

We're still working out the kinks in our modelviewer--and a lot of times we get somewhat broken models during a PTR. A lot of them are the final (like the wolf), but our particle effects for Ragnaros aren't behaving quite right.

Apparently all prominent lore figures who vanish are now getting dunked in fire before they can return in a raid. You'd think it'd be more of a deterrent.

I read "new pets" and saw the picture, and thought that they had put in tamable Stags for Hunters.

Actually, Malorne hit it and quit it. It was a one night stand with Elune, his main squeeze was Ysera.

Agreed. I think Cenarius is the child of Elune and Malorne, but was mostly raised by Ysera?

Pretty much. Elune was simply Malorne's baby-mama. It's said that Elune couldn't take care of Cenarius since he was "more a child of the mortal world" or something, but I really think she just realized she couldn't pick up a big fat welfare check for him and dropped him like a hot potato.
