Dear The Queue,If people are going to complain about music in the comments, can we encourage that they offer alternative listening suggestions so that people may, um... fairly critique their musical tastes?

C'mon dude! It's freakin Aqua for pete's sake! Listen to Barbie Girl and squirm. I dare you. You know he's pulling our leg, right? All the hate speech against such a rediculous band, just so Adam has to wade through all the hate comments...they do this on purpose to each other. It's actually quite funny.Aqua dude! As bad as Chubbawumba, if not worse.

I didn't complain about the music, but hey, here's a couple things I like. Criticize away.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1EGNaPTACchttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL4mywCOJXA
Do we also need to retroactively defend our positions on Rebecca Black, too?

Pearl Jam, Hendrix, Marley, Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, Soundgarden, Floyd, CSN (Dad's fault), Doors, Phish, Beastie Boys, Enya, Van Morrison, Black Flag, Allman Bros, Dead Can Dance, Sinatra, Smashing Pumpkins, Beatles, Sabbath, Gordon Lightfoot, Who, Stevie Wonder, Butthole Surfers, and occasionally, the kind of instrumental new age shit (Nicholas Gunn, anyone?) that probably makes you want to barf. Bash away.

Didn't criticize it (in the comments, anyway >.>), but I'll go ahead and join in on this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrwO8b9iq34http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOaXTg3nAuYhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd2B6SjMh_wCriticize away, brothers and sisters! CRITICIZE!

/sniffleBut... but... Some of us like Aqua AND Chumbawumba. :(

"But... but... Some of us like Aqua AND Chumbawumba. :("Well, don't worry. If all this hate is making you feel knocked down, I have a feeling you'll get up again. We're never gonna keep you down.

Okay, guys I get it! Give my inbox a break!I wasn't defending the song (or asking anyone to justify their opinion of the song), just trying to point out how a lot of commenters were being pretty negative to someone offering a personal taste suggestion, which never feels good.Granted, the posters here have thick skin, and Tim brought up the good point that maybe Mat posted the bad song on purpose, but it seems I'm in the minority, so I'll acquiesce.

I certainly have questionable music tastes. And if I ever submit any of them to be used as an article header feel free to critique away! I am pretty fair and open with my listening preferences. Probably a good 30-40% of the music you hear on the radio shouldn't be played but that doesn't mean it doesn't appeal to someone. I think as long as you don't get personal with the person playing it (OMG you are so stupid-etc.) or the artist providing the music it's fair game.

I cannot envision any circumstances in this life in which I would rather hear the very best Aqua song than the very worst Pearl Jam song. They are worse than Celine Dion. You're damn right I went there.

Just to note, I wasn't defending the song. I have never heard it.I was just tossing out two things I liked, as per your suggestion.

And I cannot imagine ever wanting to listen to Pearl Jam. The world would be boring if we were all the same! :D
