WoW Moviewatch: The Starlance: Prologue
We're a pioneering RP-PvP guild on the Moon Guard (US-RP) server. We have story-driven RP-PvP events that determine the rise and fall of military orders across the server, as well as the fate of individual characters. The Starlance is one of the guilds participating in this, and we've decided to make videos archiving the ongoing story of our PvP events. This prologue displays some shots of "future-tense" events that will determine the progressive fate of our guild and those involved.
I really dig the idea of using short machinima to hype up player-driven events. It goes a long way toward lending a true sense of engagement and excitement. After all, anyone can stand around Stormwind saying "forsooth" and "yea, verily." Taking the time to create a video about your event says, "I'm serious about this and trying to take it to another level."
Good luck to the RP team involved. I hope you have a great time!

I stopped reading at 'Aphel from Moon Guard-US'.

As a member of the Eyes of Old (Alliance), the antagonist guild heavy in the RP community for Moon Guard (working in conjunction with one of the best Alliance RP protagonist guilds - The First Regiment and other such groups), I'll keep any eye out for Starlance. Aphel may be good at making the vids, but server history with working with his previous RP projects/guilds have been... tenuous at best. That said, RP-PvP is a rough task in itself (organization, keeping everyone 'on script', and so forth) that I do applaud his ambition in this undertaking and definitely offer our resources in this endeavor.

Aphel is a 'notable' character from different perspectives. Never been a positive person and this is just one of the many attempts of his 'ambitious' role-playing projects. I'm surprised he isn't violating any ToS or EULA agreements this time. Or at least offending anyone.

That's actually a pretty cool idea. It would definitely stir up excitement over any RP event that they put together... and would probably make it easier for incoming guild members to get the story on what's going on (assuming this is well documented.)
