Priest: Holy: 4-Piece - You have a chance when you cast a helpful spell to summon a Cauterizing Flame. Friendly raid and party members can use the Cauterizing Flame to be instantly healed for 4625 to 5375. Lasts for 45 sec sec or 10 charges. After using the Cauterizing Flame, players cannot benefit from it again for 10 sec.
Great, another Light Well that no one will use. Thanks Blizz.

That's what I thought too. I'm a bit disappointed in that 4-set bonus. I like the Shadow one though :P)
Shuckles May 5th 2011 12:52AM
I'd say if your group isn't clicking on Lightwell, you need to call them out on it. Lightwell is one of the most amazing healing tools in the game right now, and being able to give Discipline a secondary version of it through set bonuses is really, really awesome.
Saeadame May 5th 2011 12:54AM
"no one will use" - speak for yourself, I use lightwell, and no, I'm not a priest.
Yams May 5th 2011 1:01AM
My fellow raiders use my lightwell regularly. Even so, I'm not particularly excited about getting a second one who's position I cannot control. The only way I see this being interesting is if we could potentially end up with several of them out at once :P
josh May 5th 2011 1:27AM
don't know about your guild, but lightwell on our guild is really awesome :), in most cases, dps are the ones who remind me at some point to drop it when I forget about it

New macros coming in 4.2: "Click the Firewell!"
nickchadwick May 5th 2011 2:12AM
As a tank, I love lightwell, can't wait to click two of them!
Erebos May 5th 2011 2:15AM
That's EXACTLY what I said to myself...
/sigh
Another chance to enlighten the world about the wonders of the Lightwell? Yeah, let's go with that...
Rai May 5th 2011 3:57AM
Yes, Lightwell is useful if the priest/other healers is/are focused on keeping the tank alive.
No, I'm still not going to leap through a wall of fire to get to it.
Tridus May 5th 2011 5:46AM
Yeah, because exactly what we needed is a weaker, randomly placed Lightwell that nobody will be able to see because it's a red thing inside a zone where the only color is red.
Genius!
Nadia May 5th 2011 9:04AM
If you're Discipline, it means you get to have a lightwell! I only wish that when it procs, we'd be able to position it like a real lightwell...
Oreet May 5th 2011 9:18AM
I had a surprising PuG of Heroic Grim Batol 2 days ago. The Warrior tank specifically asked me to drop my Lightwell before a boss fight. I normally do it anyway, but hadn't gotten around to dropping it yet.
That was a much welcomed surprise.
Kalah May 5th 2011 10:00AM
People may click on lightwells, but it still isn't as helpful as the other healing tier bonuses which AUTOMATICALLY do their job. :/
Puntable May 5th 2011 10:04AM
5375 HP? If that is not increased by your stats, then you'll need a microscope to see your health bar move. Nobody would bother using it.
Aryi May 5th 2011 10:15AM
I'd be tempted to take 2pc-holy, 2pc-shadow for the lower CD on shadowfiend.
Dumbguy May 5th 2011 11:12AM
I'll have to chime in and say I use lightwell, and am also not a priest. The rest of my raid does as well.
I don't see what's wrong with this. The more often an X-well is available, the more often people see it, the more willing people are going to be to look for it and the more ingrained into their wowminds the behavior will become. Priest *is* the mind control class, after all.
Vinyl May 5th 2011 11:00AM
As a tank, Lightwell is my best friend :)
gamerunknown May 5th 2011 11:01AM
That was the first thing I thought: 2pc shadow (the pieces with spirit most likely) and 2 or 3pc holy. That extra regen is nothing to sneeze at, with a 2m 45s cooldown with veiled shadows you could use it 3 times on certain bosses.
That said I doubt I'll get my hands on any piece unless I get lucky with the new BH boss.
joshua.l.miles May 5th 2011 11:41AM
If the amount of healing isn't either increased or effected by your SP then the lightwell thing is useless, 5K healing every 10 seconds for a raid geared tank would be like giving a WoTLK raiding tank 100 hp every 10 sec for 45 seconds....plus its overall effectiveness depends on how much fire is going to get dropped on the ground in the firelands raids, won't do much good at all if no one can get to it to use it.
