What's your dream cast for the Warcraft movie?

Then around the same time, the WoW Insider team got word on the further developments of Michele Morrow's campaign to land the role of Sylvanas Windrunner. This sparked the idea that someone on staff should put together a dream cast for the future Warcraft movie. As the token film school dropout, I jumped on the assignment and promptly put together the most expensive movie cast list ever.
Be sure to let us know what your picks for the Warcraft film would be!

Actually, I'd say Ian McKellen as Cairne Bloodhoof, but there'd just be so much cgi involved with that.
As for Mekkatorque, heck, why not Wallace Shawn?
Dawn Moore May 6th 2011 11:29AM
I honestly wasn't interested in recycling the same old actors from LotR and other well known names in fantasy and sci-fi.
As for Buscemi I did actually consider him for Mekkatorque before Dafoe, the reason I didn't cast him is I checked every actor with a google image search + 2011/2010. Buscemi is aging into a corpse and I wanted to see an actor who had a little more life left in his face while still being very unusual.

I love DeVito in any movie but his natural voice and persona fit more with the goblins than with gnomes sadly. Now if they enhanced his voice to sound all high pitched and bubbly that would be a dif story but if they did that they might as well get anyone for the part.

Gary Oldman would be frickin' awesome as Medivh :-) Also like the suggestions for Garrosh and Garona. Thrall... hmmmmm, I wouldn't dare to suggest anyone because I can't think of a single actor with that potential of awesome. But Tyrande needs to be older, Cate Blanchett or similar (and I'm not saying that because she played Galadriel in LOTR, but because she's brilliant).
I do love the suggestion of Michele Morrow for Sylvanas, I'm sure she could pull it off and unlike most of the other suggestions, she actually plays WoW and knows what it's all about.

I'm not so sure Tyrande needs an actor that is older. She needs someone timeless.
Dorpserne May 8th 2011 11:26AM
Tyrande should be played my Micheal Viper. Timeless, Beautiful, and an absolutely amazing actor.

Sean Connery as Genn Greymane. The movie would mainly be about Genn Greymane beating people up.
I'll also agree with Scarlett Johansson as Jaina because, well, have you seen her?
Peepers May 6th 2011 10:50AM
I've seen her act...which is why I have to vote against her as Jaina. She's make a good Target Dummy though.
Danny DeVito needs to be involved as a goblin of some sort. Even if he just voices the Trade Prince.
I also want to see Nathan Fillion as a cheesey Alliance hero. Even if it's just a cameo.
MattKrotzer May 6th 2011 1:05PM
Nathan Fillion as Bolvar Fordragon.
Or maybe Mathias Shaw?
Deathknighty May 6th 2011 6:52PM
JOHN J. KEESHAN.
Deathknighty May 6th 2011 6:53PM
Except played by Sylvester Stallone!
Suzaku May 6th 2011 9:21AM
Christopher Walken would make an excellent night elf, I just realized.
I'd like to see Warwick Davis as a gnome.
Arthas would absolutely have be played by Vladimir Kulich; I'm fairly certain they modeled Arthas after him. I'm not sure how great his English is, but they could always dub his lines.
Also, Robert Downey Jr. is way too young. Greymane is like a hundred. Well, at least in his early eighties. Robert Downey Jr. is a bit too "hip" for the role, I think.
Hairfish May 6th 2011 9:23AM
Richard Attenborough as Greymane. He's 88, so they'd better get on it quick. ;)
Othgan May 6th 2011 10:15AM
Robert Downey Jr for Crowley. He is definitely too young to be Genn.
Dawn Moore May 6th 2011 10:57AM
I didn't have issues with Downey Jr. being too young just because of what they can do with make up and such. Actors can go up and down in age, especially male actors, so easily in Hollywood. Just think of Doc in the beginning of Back to the Future, or any film Russell Crowe has been in when he plays a much older or younger character than he actually is.

My Dreamcast is sitting next to my Wii, silently pining for "what could have been." He's still loved and plays great games such as Sonic Adventure 2 and Phantasy Star Online, but understands his creators has abandoned him. He's come to terms that his glory days are come and gone.
I put forth my Dreamcast as Tirion Fordring.
Ominous May 6th 2011 9:19AM
I can't improve upon those cast photos you've posted. I can only add to them. Just how many more do you want?
JungleEmber May 6th 2011 9:21AM
Brian Blessed as Uther.
That is all
Ves May 6th 2011 9:21AM
Tabitha St. Germain as Sylvanas.
