I was going to say something witty about Fox cancelling Sci Fi shows, but I won't because they seem to be improving.
Let's recap:
Sliders: First season with marred continuity caused by airing episodes out of order, so-so second season, main writers were fired for the crap lets-rip-off-of-horror-movies third season. Cancelled, redeemed slightly by SciFi Channel for seasons 4 & 5.
Firefly: First and only season marred by airing episodes out-of-order and constantly switching air times and dates. Cancelled, picked up by Universal for a movie deal.
Sarah Connor Chronicles: Cancelled on its second season. Continuity respected and preserved.
Dollhouse: Cancelled on its second season. Continuity respected and preserved.
Fringe: Lasts four seasons. Continuity respected and preserved.
It seems like Fox Network is improving over time. I still mourn Firefly though, and hope Science channel decides to make new episodes seeing as how the reruns are one of their top shows right now.
